Show notes

About:
This anthology lists unique stories written for the Dark Ages 20th anniversary update. Insights into your favorite clans written by the creators of the content you love. We have our favorites and fight to not ruin the stories in the review but do speak to them.
All of these short stories are good and tackle some hard to understand concepts of Dark ages vampire world and write them into a story that puts it into perspective.
Need an idea of how not all Children of Haqim are Banu Haqim? "Ghosts of Chorazin" short story will sort you out.
Ventrue are boring? read "Young , Gifted and Ventrue".
Insight into Tzimisce culture? read "Acts of Cruelty". This is just a few of the stories and all are worth a night of reading before a weekend session of Vampire.

About
Werewolf: "Heart of the Forest" is a narrative adventure game based on the legendary role-playing system Werewolf: The Apocalypse. You play as Maya, a woman in her twenties from the United States, who is searching for clues about her family in the last primeval forest of Central Europe.
What she doesn’t know is that she will find herself in the middle of a conflict between forces beyond her understanding.
Pros:

Well Written with loyalty to the Tabletop RPG
"Beautiful Art that depicts moody illustrations that convey the feeling of savage, psychedelic horror. With a focus on symbolism and emotions rather than on photo-realistic portrayal of the locations and characters" -Different Tales [We could not have said it better]
Unique setting of the "Puszcza Bialowieska" Forest is one of the last Primeval forests of Europe.
Werewolf the Apocalypse mechanics and setting used in the game for a familiar feeling for Veterans and used in a unique way to make a visual novel/RPG feel more immersive.

CON:
Not out now.

Dark Ages: "Devil's Due" Episode 176 Jul 31, 2020

Show notes

This episode we get a bit cheeky but fairly observe the infernal book from an eye of usage and fun. Though not strictly vampire based we agreed the importance of the darkest powers has made its way in several vamp books and so we included it in the line up.

About
Devil's Due is a sourcebook for the entire Dark Ages line. It provides information about demons and those who worship them, including cults, infernalist spellcasters, and those unfortunate and foolish few who make pacts with the demonic host. Devil's Due offers epic antagonists for your chronicles, and includes complete creation rules for characters with a tenuous grip on their souls.

Road of Sin:
This road book is one of my favorite books of the entire line because of the controversial content and rich subtlety that plays with the line between pleasure, pain and virtue.
It dives into the grey area of morality and forces a perception players and Storytellers can portray.
Decadence and hedonism...we discuss it all.
This podcast was a lot of fun to do and I hope you enjoy it and add this book to your library.

Players Guide to the Low clans.
A book designed to give you the feel of the Dark Ages Low Clans perspective during the War of Princes and suggestions of how to play them. Different elder powers and interesting mechanics including "Discipline Derangements".
We review the clan histories offered and maybe went a little long on the Children of Haqim. [we did...] :)
I added chapters to listen in parts cause of the length.
