Horrors and Healing – The Civil War Medicine Podcast

Horrors and Healing is a podcast brought to you by the National Museum of Civil War Medicine.

The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is located in Frederick, Maryland. The Museum is the premier center for the preservation and research of the legacy of Civil War Medical innovation and humanitarianism. As a living institution, we utilize artifacts, storytelling and the historic lessons derived from that era to educate the public and define the impact on today’s society.

You can support the Museum by donating or by becoming a member at civilwarmed.org/support.

Livin’ the Dream with J

Livin’ the Dream with J is a podcast where I interview people who are “Livin’ the Dream” in real time. After much research and meeting so many amazing people I realized that living the life of your dreams is not a destination, it is a journey. Every persons dream life is different and while that “dream” may look different, I think we can learn from other. The mistakes, the forks in the road, the trials, all of the mess will be present along the way. So I am going to be interviewing people that are telling their stories on how they got to where they are and where they are headed. These people will range from everyday average people to celebrities but the one thing they have in common is they are Livin’ the DREAM in real time and ready to tell us how they got there.

Worst of Bible

The “Roger Ebert of Bible Stories” (My Mum). I take the Bible at face value and politely address issues I may have with what I find. Probably not your average Sunday sermon material. Updated weekly. “Whoso readeth, let him understand.” – Matthew 24:15

In The Tension

We have lost the ability to hold tension with one another and instead fall for the temptation to avoid difficult conversations and run to groups of people who agree with us rather than sit in spaces that hold tension that is part of the human condition. Sitting in the tension is also the way to healing.

Curvy Conversations

Curvy Conversations is my space to say the quiet parts out loud. Each week, I talk life through my own lens—faith, self-love, mental health, grief, pop culture, and everything in between. Some conversations are deep, some are light, and some are just real, but all of them are rooted in growth, truth, and showing up as yourself.
