How To! with Charles Duhigg

You’ve got questions. We find answers.

We all need advice, but it’s not always clear who to ask. Each week, we invite a listener on the show to tackle a real problem, like protecting our elderly loved ones from scammers, emigrating as a throuple, and speaking without saying “um” – all with help from world-class experts: attorneys, doctors, entrepreneurs, authors, researchers – who actually know what they’re talking about. Think of it as eavesdropping on someone else’s therapy session, without the co-pay or awkward silence.

Last Day

This is a show about the moments that change us, fundamentally and forever. Each week, host Stephanie Wittels Wachs (Lemonada’s co-founder and award-winning queen of darkness and light) is sitting down with a new guest to explore happy/sad stories of survival, resilience and transformation. After three seasons of exploring the “last day” of people’s lives in an effort to understand mass epidemics, Steph was ready for a change herself. Some “last days” are hopeful. Some are tragic. But at the heart of every “last day” is also a new beginning. Laugh/cry with us.

Eisenhower, Harry S.Truman and Franklin D. Roosevelt – had experimented with audio recorders, but JFK was the first to keep the tape rolling.

White House Tapes: Nixon – American RadioWorks

Richard Nixon taped more conversations than any president in history. The recordings show an astute political strategist, an isolated man and a doomed president.
