Conversations about ways to defend democracy when you’re feeling hopeless or overwhelmed

By the end of this year, countries making up half the world’s population will have held elections. But not all of them will have been free and fair. In ‘What’s Wrong with Democracy?’ Professor Ben Ansell of Oxford University will, with the help of academics, journalists, activists and writers, figure out whether democracy is working and how best to preserve democratic freedoms, equality and rights.

What’s Wrong with Democracy? is produced by Tortoise Media and supported by The Open Society Foundations.

R-CALF USA is the largest cattle producer-only membership based organization that exclusively represents U.S. cattle and sheep producers on domestic and international trade and marketing issues. R-CALF is dedicated to ensuring the continued profitability and viability of the U.S. cattle industry. R-CALF USA’s membership of more than 5,000 consists primarily of cow-calf producers, cattle backgrounders, and feeders.

R-CALF USA is set apart from all other national cattle associations because we rely solely on membership dues and donations to carry out our mission to ensure the continued profitability and independence of United States cattle and sheep producers. We exist only because of support from our members. For more information, to become a member, or to donate please visit www.r-calfusa.com.

The Circular Letter presents the history of New Jersey Gun Control Law as it applies to “the Nation historical tradition of firearms regulation” and the constitutionality of the current Gun Control Laws. In Circular Letter 1, the evidence of Internal Political Power struggle between the traditional Sheriffs and the newly founded Police Departments prove that the 1924 Carry Permit Law did not “bear on the wisdom of the legislators.”

WHO IS SHERLOCK HOMEBOY?
Sherlock Homeboy is unique compared to an average human, but he is not a “high-functioning sociopath.” Sherlock Homeboy most likely suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a minor case of Bipolar Disorder, and a hint of Savant Syndrome. Asperger’s Syndrome causes Sherlock Homeboy to think in pictures. He is extremely antisocial, also classified as aromantic and sapiosexual, never has love affairs and shuns society, with a split personality. Sherlock Homeboy is not just a outside of the box thinker, but a mystery himself. Aside from his obvious inability to behave in a social settings, his obvious lack of regard for the rules there is also the fact that his skills are not infallible. In real life, Sherlock Homeboy’s eccentricities, standoffish personality, and bad habits could make anyone wary of him. Yet, if Sherlock Homeboy were any less eccentric and equally talented, he would become unrelatable from an audience perspective, as no one can claim to be a flawless genius. In actuality Sherlock Homeboy is no more flawed then his fictional counterpart and therefore should be treated accordingly.
