Money And Wealth With John Hope Bryant

John Hope Bryant- successful entrepreneur, executive and philanthropist –will dispense his trademark ‘Straight Talk’ lessons on developing a wealth-building mindset, specifically how the Black community never got “the memo” on money – essentially how to survive and thrive in a free enterprise system.

While often provocative, Bryant will unpack the issues of the day, along with practical advice on how listeners will not only improve their current financial position, but learn how to grow and create personal wealth for themselves and their families.

Episodes will mostly feature Bryant speaking directly to the audience, with occasional guests ranging from “person on the street” interviews with inspirational individuals Bryant encounters in his travels around the world, or from his network of some of world’s most extraordinary people.

Carol Costello Presents: The God Hook

In Season Two of her true crime series, The God Hook, journalist Carol Costello investigates the complex case of the Ohio Craigslist Killings—and in doing so, unearths the untold story of the crimes that preceded the murders—and the victims who’ve never received justice. Richard Beasley was convicted of murdering three men and attempting to kill a fourth in the fall of 2011, but before that heinous spree, authorities were building a human trafficking case against him. Now, working with the case’s prosecutor, a county sheriff, and many closely involved sources, Carol examines previously unknown details of Beasley’s alleged crimes, and how he used the God Hook to lure his victims and bend them to his will.
In Season One of this podcast, Blind Rage, journalist Carol Costello revisits the first big assignment she covered as a 22-year-old, novice reporter: Phyllis Cottles’ brutal attack. Psychologists call them “Triumphant Survivors,” but Phyllis Cottle was more than a survivor, she used this crime to better herself and the world around her.

Landslide

In the mid-1970s, the Republican Party looked on the verge of self-destruction. Until 1976. A political earthquake: A cutthroat, razor-close, deeply personal battle for the Republican nomination, and the party’s identity. It resurrected the GOP, remade it as a conservative party, and pulled the country sharply to the right. Landslide is the story of the closest presidential primary race in American history, what followed, and how it reshaped the political parties — opening the partisan rifts that divide us today. Hosted by award-winning public radio journalist Ben Bradford.
