The Man Enough Podcast

What does it mean to be a man, and human, in the world today? This Webby-nominated audio & video podcast explores what it means to be a man today and how rigid gender roles have affected all people. The show creates a safe environment for a range of perspectives to meet and stay at the table, exploring how the messages of masculinity show up in relationships, body image, privilege, fatherhood, sex, success, mental health and so much more. Instead of polarizing and demonizing men and masculinity, it invites all humans to participate and thrive in the world. The weekly series is hosted by filmmaker, actor & author Justin Baldoni, author & journalist Liz Plank, and President of Wayfarer Studios & award winning music producer Jamey Heath. It’s currently in Season 2 and is in the top 1% of most followed and shared podcasts on Spotify, beloved by men, women and people of all genders.  If you’re interested in learning in real time, deepening your understanding of yourself and others, and being reminded that you are enough, this is the podcast for you. State of Mind

There’s something different about Texas. But how do you define it without resorting to cliches about cowboys and oilmen? At Texas Monthly, we think the answer is through stories — stories like the ones we’ve been telling for almost 50 years. On State of Mind, you’ll hear those stories from our talented writers and from a wide array of other Texans. Join us each week for a new story about life in the Lone Star State, from the Texas Monthly team behind “Boomtown,” “One by Willie,” and “Tom Brown’s Body.” Read More

Loud & Complicit

Loud & Complicit looks inside the bullshit and beauty life brings to two unmarried, childless, career-driven women in their 30s. Hosted by Kayce Smith and Liz Gonzales, the two discuss working in an industry that is not only male-dominated, but also mostly about men. Some find them to be too loud, while others have decided they’re silently complicit to a culture of misogyny. But this isn’t about the men; this is about the Loud & Complicit women, and they’re coming to you every Tuesday, beginning on June 15th.

The Tipsy Exchange

The Tipsy Exchange is a comedy podcast hosted by besties Berly and LA, two self-proclaimed '80s babies who pour a drink, raise a toast, and talk about whatever's got them hooked. One week it's true crime and history's strangest mysteries. The next, it's haunted hotels, UFOs, pop culture, and deep dives into the movies and TV shows we grew up on. Every episode kicks off with a toast and runs on tangents, inside jokes, and a genuinely alarming number of sidebars. It all depends on the tipsy level.

Listening to The Tipsy Exchange is like pulling up a chair at happy hour with your funniest friends. We finish each other's sentences, call each other out, mispronounce everything with confidence, and thirst over Pedro Pascal with zero shame. We don't claim to be experts (though we do bring some on for our Ask the Expert episodes), but we do our research, we have a good time, and we'll always tell you what we really think.

Hang out with us! Leave us a rating and review on your favorite podcast app. It really does help new listeners find the show, and we read every one. And remember to follow the show!

Please drink responsibly.

Unread

One December evening in 2019, Chris Stedman noticed a new message in his inbox from his friend Alex, sent at exactly 7 p.m. He and Alex hadn’t talked in a while—was Alex writing to tell him off for being a bad friend? But it wasn’t that. “listen,” the note read. “i am writing to let you know that when you receive this scheduled email, i will no longer be alive.” At the bottom of his message, Alex included a link to a private SoundCloud account. “here’s Alice recordings,” he wrote.     Alice. Alex had talked to Chris about her before. A Britney Spears superfan, Alex had befriended this anonymous figure in a Britney fan forum years earlier. Alice had become the stuff of legend in Britney fan circles, and for good reason—she happens to sound exactly like Britney herself. Why was Alex including these recordings in his goodbye email? Who was Alice, really, and what had she meant to Alex? More importantly, could she help Chris understand why his friend was gone? With help from Alex’s loved ones, Chris decides to track down the elusive Alice, in the hopes that she can answer some of the questions Alex couldn’t. Read More

Alan Watts Being in the Way

Take a deep dive into the collected recordings of Alan Watts with Alan’s son, Mark Watts.

Being in the Way is a podcast series that explores the Alan Watts Archive’s 100-hour tape collection - including recordings not heard in 40 years. We will meet some of the people being influenced by the works of Alan Watts today and learn a little of the history behind how these remarkable recordings were made.

Mark and his guests offer reflections on Alan’s ideas— ideas that were radically innovative and groundbreaking in the sixties and seventies, and yet seem to have come of age today.

Being in the Way is brought to you by the Alan Watts Organization, in partnership with Ram Dass' Be Here Now Network.

Check out all of the Alan Watts Organization's offerings at alanwatts.org.
