The Paramedic Coach Podcast

The Paramedic Coach discusses EMS education, NREMT certification, and gives career advice and insight to new EMS providers.

EMT Training and Paramedic Training can be very accelerated and students can get left behind. My goal with this podcast is to help students pass school and the NREMT exams. I believe that anyone out there who wants to serve their community as an EMT or Paramedic should be able to do that.

My aim is to decrease the failure rates of NREMT exams and help students pass the NREMT exam the first time.

Whether you are preparing for EMT/Paramedic School, in EMS classes right now, or studying for your NREMT exams this podcast is built for you.I look forward to seeing your EMS education and NREMT exam success!

Be Great,

Evan, The Paramedic Coach®

Don Paul Bits o’ Blather on Weather, Climate, & Science

I'm a 44 year veteran broadcast meteorologist based in Buffalo since 1984, but also having worked previously in Bangor, Wichita, Tampa, and Detroit. I grew up in Hudson County NJ, yet was never indicted by a federal grand jury. I now work mainly as a weather/climate writer for the Buffalo News. On the side, I have been a gag writer for a long time NYC radio personality and was twice recommended by Johnny Carson's Head Writer to be hired onto his staff. I'm proud to say I was PERSONALLY passed over by the Head Writer's boss--Johnny. How many people can say that? Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/don-paul/support Read More

Emrooz Fahmidam

Unconfined

US consumers enjoy access to a veritable cornucopia of meat. We consume an annual average of more than 220 pounds of chicken, pork, and beef per person—one of the highest rates of carnivory in history. What makes it possible is a factory-like model of meat production that took root in Midwestern stockyards in the late 19th century and boomed after World War II. For decades, the transnational meatpacking giants that dominate US production have been exporting this model to countries across the globe. But it's not all about just widely available burgers, tacos, and nuggets. What are the model's downsides—the impacts on communities, workers, ecosystems, and public health? And are there better ways to farm animals? In Unconfined Podcast, veteran meat industry observers and CLF staffers Tom Philpott and Christine Grillo dig into those questions, interviewing the researchers, community organizers, journalists, and farmers documenting or experiencing the ills of our dominant mode of meat agriculture—and those who are exploring alternatives.
