Her best-selling book, Invisible Women, was published to critical acclaim, and Caroline was inundated with readers sharing their own stories of the “default male”.

You'll hear expert guests, gripping stories, and plenty of inspiration.

How Not to Raise a Serial Killer

Ever wonder if your kids have it in them to be a killer? It's okay, we've all had the thought once or twice. And if you're willing to admit that, you'll love How Not to Raise a Serial Killer. On this podcast, criminal psychologist Dr. Michelle Ward digs into the childhoods of some of the most notorious criminals and killers in order to learn from them and prevent future tragedies. Dr. Ward will use her expertise to determine what went wrong with each killer (a brain injury, an undiagnosed illness, a specific trauma) with the help of a fellow mom/non-expert who can weigh in about their own taboo parenting fears. Because on our better days as parents, we want to know how to raise good humans. But on our worst days, we at least want to know that we're not raising a future serial killer. Read More

Missing Niqui McCown

Introducing “Missing Niqui McCown,” the 2001 disappearance of a 28-year-old woman who vanished three weeks before her wedding.

The final known moments of Niqui’s whereabouts were captured by a surveillance camera in a laundromat in Richmond, Indiana. Detectives have spent 22 years trying to piece together what happened next. They would find plenty of leads (her car turned up five months later in Dayton, OH) and many suspects (including a former police officer) but they have not found Niqui. A windy trail of clues has led to what some would call a definitive answer, but investigators caution: things might not be what they seem.

This podcast dives deep into the archives, analyzes evidence never publicly seen, and includes new interviews with those who knew Niqui best. All in hopes of rekindling public interest, generating fresh leads, and ultimately bringing long-overdue justice to the McCown family.
