    Renegade Mormon Postmodern Libertarian Dystopia

Mormonism is deeply, fundamentally, doctrinally libertarian. Most Mormons don’t know that yet. I’m trying to change that. Oddball takes on many related topics. You probably don’t know any Mormons like me. Utah should have a Free State Project of its own.

    Show notes

This episode asks whether there might be a "best if used by" date for the Constitution buried in Mormon scripture. The idea is to reconcile a Mormon libertarian ideology with the more radical/pure branches of libertarianism that are skeptical or outright hostile to the Constitution.

Is Mormonism Apocalyptically Secessionist? Jun 22, 2022
    Show notes

In this episode we ask the question, "Is Mormonism Apocalyptically Secessionist?" We have a quote from the most famous historical secessionist and challenge the listener to reassess whether they themselves might be secessionists without even knowing it. Finally, we talk about why one would even ask this crazy question in the first place. Presented and framed in a much more lighthearted manner than the first episode, but still serving a real purpose for the overarching goal of the podcast.

Your Mormon Friends Are Libertarian, They Just Don't Know It Yet May 21, 2022
    Show notes

According to a survey of American members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 90 percent are members of one of the two major political parties. Our intrepid host is out to change that--claiming that Mormonism is an inherently libertarian religion; possibly *the most libertarian* religion, based on its own scriptures. In fact, embracing non-libertarian politics is literally Satanic! But why don't most Mormons know this? Listen to this episode to find out!
