Encouragement for Today Podcast

Life can be so challenging sometimes — we each understand this all too well. It’s not only the big things that seem out of our control, but it's also the little things we face each day. We forget our keys. A friend cancels on us. Our bank card gets declined. We wake up anxious. Negative thoughts fill our mind. It doesn’t take much to leave us feeling hopeless, confused, exhausted or stressed. We wonder what God has to say about what we’re experiencing, but sometimes just getting through the next few hours is hard enough. That’s why Proverbs 31 Ministries created the Encouragement For Today Podcast — a collection of 50 devotions to help you start your day with a biblical perspective you can carry with you no matter what lies ahead. Ex-Psychic Saved: Exposing Divination, New Age, and the Occult

Jennifer Nizza knows what it means to discern — and confront — evil. Once trapped on the hampster wheel of the New Age for 25 years, she was radically saved out of the occult and bondage by Jesus Christ. Nizza was a psychic medium and a teacher of the occult, and, as a result, was demonically oppressed. She taught topics such as: the law of attraction, past life regression, automatic writing, tarot, and mediumship. Despite being deeply rooted in the occult, at the age of 36, she cried out to Jesus for the first time and became a Christian. Suddenly, the darkness she was embroiled in was illuminated. She quit her job as a psychic, picked up her cross to follow Jesus — and hasn't looked back. Nizza, author of the books "From Psychic to Saved" and "Out of the New Age and Into the Truth," is now exposing the New Age, occultism, and paranormal deceptions through "The Ex-Psychic Saved Podcast." This podcast is dedicated to warning all about the dangers of the occult. She will talk about many New Age topics, expose where psychics get their information, interact with compelling guests, and much more! Read More

Covenant Hermeneutics and Biblical Eschatology

Theologian Kim Burgess likens systematic theology to dissection and biblical theology to vivisection. While both methods seek to understand what the Bible is saying, one works in bits and pieces, while the other works to understand the Bible as an organic whole. Traditional evangelical interpretations are too often informed by the dissection method and less by vivisection. Read More

The Waiting Well – Infertility, Faith-based Encouragement, Trying to Conceive, Fertility

Are you constantly asking God, why me? Why am I not getting pregnant? Why am I going through infertility? Are you scouring the internet for answers for how to navigate infertility and trying to conceive as a Christian? Are you looking for faith-based support on your fertility journey because no one in your circle really knows what you’re going through? Do you wish you could be at peace with God, your story, and learn to see the goodness of God in your waiting season? In this podcast, you will find faith-based encouragement and support for your TTC & infertility journey, whether you’re navigating IVF, IUI, fertility treatments or simply just waiting, you do NOT have to walk this road alone. Hi, I’m Courtney Duinker, host of the Waiting Well Podcast… I remember how it felt five years in to our infertility story, standing in the aisle of Target right after a failed IUI treatment, holding back tears as I reached for a box of tampons when a couple who was clearly expecting came down the aisle. They were smiling as they talked while holding a new pack of diapers. My heart sank. I couldn’t help the one question bubbling to the surface as my heartache over not conceiving overwhelmed me…. will it ever be my turn? I felt forgotten, lost and wanted to tap out of the roller coaster of infertility we seemed to be stuck on. I didn’t know how to find peace with God. I wrestled to believe or see His goodness. And at one point, my faith felt completely shattered. I felt so alone in our pain & suffering. As we faced questions around treatment options, I was so confused. What was God’s plan? What were we supposed to do? I so desperately wanted to honor God even with our fertility journey. But I wrestled with how. This is what led to creating The Waiting Well. A virtual “well” where TTC women can come together and be equipped with God’s Word, encouraged, challenged and ultimately supported as we learn to wait well on God’s timing. Each week I’ll share faith-based encouragement from my own infertility journey, provide information from expert guests on navigating infertility/TTC, powerful testimonials, answer common questions with scripture and share top tips on stewarding your health through this demanding journey. My mission is to equip you to live an “even if” life… Even if God doesn’t answer my prayer, or grant me this desire to be a mother, I will still praise Him. He is still good. And my life, my identity, my worth is a sure thing I find in Him alone. If you are ready to take back control of your life, find peace with God, joy in the in-between spaces and thrive in your waiting season, then meet me at the well girl. We’ve got some intentional growth to do. Opening Minds, Opening Hearts

Are you seeking to deepen your interior life through the practice of Centering Prayer? Do you have a desire to develop a closer connection to the divine as well as those around you?

Opening Minds, Opening Hearts is a podcast for both the curious meditator and long-time practitioner of Centering Prayer. On each episode, hosts Colleen Thomas and Mark Dannenfelser will reflect on the method of Centering Prayer with some friends of Contemplative Outreach who share their personal experiences of encountering God through the prayer, and through their work in the world. Topics discussed will include New Monasticism, the value of silence, the practice of contemplation and the call to social action.

Through this podcast, we hope to provide new perspectives on the future of this prayer in the rapidly changing spiritual and technological landscape. Centering Prayer is a practice and a gift and we are excited to share this blessing with our listeners.
