Haseeb Qureshi on Meme Coins, Hyperliquid and Whether AI Agents Need Crypto Oct 21, 2026
    Show notes

Who actually makes money in the meme coin game?

Haseeb Qureshi, managing partner at Dragonfly and co-host of The Chopping Block, joins Bitcoin.com News' Live News Desk at TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026.

He explains why riding launchpad meme coins is a losing game for anyone outside the supply chain, and why celebrity coins do lasting damage to crypto's reputation.

He also breaks down why token markets reward Hyperliquid for burning nearly all of its revenue, why institutions may want their own chains, and why most predictions that AI agents would use crypto en masse were mostly wrong.

    They discuss:

    • How much non-crypto retail has really come back
    • Dogecoin, celebrity coins and the launchpad wave machine
    • Token-equity splits and why BNB is not equity
    • Hyperliquid's buybacks versus reinvesting in growth
    • Institutional chains and liquidity fragmentation
    • Where AI agents will and won't use crypto
    • Why top new grads pick AI over crypto

Horsley, Bitwise CEO: Why Crypto's Substance Is Ahead of Its Price Oct 20, 2026
    Show notes

Is crypto more undervalued now than it has ever been?

Hunter Horsley, co-founder and CEO of Bitwise, joins David Sencil at TOKEN2049 Singapore. He describes the past 12 months as the best and worst of times: prices fell, but investors and large wealth managers kept leaning in.

Horsley explains why he thinks crypto's substance has gotten ahead of its price, what the consolidation of digital asset treasury companies means, why newer crypto ETFs haven't seen Bitcoin-level demand, and what institutional allocators are asking about now.

    We cover:

    • What a changing dress code says about institutions in crypto
    • Bitwise's flows during a down year
    • Why crypto may be the most undervalued it has been
    • DATs and why consolidation is constructive

Matt Hougan: Bitcoin Bottomed in June. Is the Next Bull Market Here? Oct 17, 2026
    Show notes

Has Bitcoin already bottomed, and are we entering the next bull market?

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan joins Alex Richardson and David Sencil to explain why he believes Bitcoin bottomed in June and has since entered an early-stage bull market, despite potential volatility surrounding the U.S. midterm elections.

Hougan breaks down why Federal Reserve rate cuts may matter less than many investors think, how inflation, recession and government intervention could shape Bitcoin’s next move, and why institutional adoption still has significant room to grow.

The conversation also explores the future of Bitcoin self-custody, Bitwise’s investment thesis on NEAR and AI agents, the growth of tokenized assets, and why central-bank Bitcoin adoption could become one of the market’s most important yet overlooked narratives.

Dr. Lin Han, founder and CEO of Gate, joins Bitcoin.com News' Live News Desk at TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026 on the day of Gate's "One Gate, Everything Money" upgrade. Robinhood Chain Hits $1.6B TVL in 3 Months: Stock Tokens, AI Agents & What Came Next Oct 06, 2026
    Show notes

Three months after launching Robinhood Chain's mainnet, what has Robinhood learned?

Johann Kerbrat, SVP and GM of Crypto at Robinhood, joins David Sencil at Korea Blockchain Week to look back on the chain's first months, from its growth in TVL to the meme coins paired with tokenized stocks that even Robinhood didn't see coming.

He explains how Robinhood's stock tokens are backed one-to-one by shares, why he sees the recent public debate over them as more of a marketing stunt, and why he thinks tokenization can give billions of people outside the U.S. access to American stocks.

    They discuss:

    • Robinhood Chain's first three months on mainnet
    • Meme coins paired with stock tokens
    • How stock tokens are backed and regulated
    • Base vs. Solana vs. Robinhood Chain
    • Tokenizing assets beyond U.S. stocks
