Welcome back, warriors! In this episode of Peptide of the Week, JD Denham and William T. Haas get back to basics with two compounds that belong in almost everyone's stack. Epithalon for longevity, sleep, and cellular aging. Glutathione for detox, liver protection, and immune support. Simple, powerful, and underutilized.

    Chapters:

    00:00 – Intro

    00:09 – Show Updates & Shirt Talk

02:15 – Heading to the Olympia

02:58 – Behind the Scenes of Bodybuilding Prep

32:13 – Glutathione: Why Everyone Should Take It

    34:57 – Delivery Methods & Global Uses

39:49 – Dosing Protocols: Epitalon & Glutathione Math

    We cover:

    🧬 What is Epithalon?

    – A four amino acid synthetic peptide made of alanine, glutamate, aspartate, and glycine

    – One of Dr. Khavinson's Soviet bioregulators developed in the 1970s military research program

    – Works directly on the pineal gland, the pea-sized gland in your brain that regulates sleep and hormones

    – In 2026, an FDA advisory committee voted 7 to 4 to recommend adding it to the approved compound list (advisory only, not yet policy)

    – Cannot be patented because it is a naturally occurring compound, so there is no financial incentive for big pharma to fund large trials

    πŸ”¬ What Epithalon does

    – Telomere lengthening: Dr. Khavinson's studies showed it extends the telomere caps on your chromosomes, theoretically slowing cellular aging. Animal models showed extended lifespan

    – Sleep and circadian rhythm reset: deepens sleep, reduces nighttime waking, helps reset disrupted sleep cycles. One of the top reasons people run it

    – Immune resilience: lowers free radical damage systemically, especially helpful for overtrained athletes and chronically stressed people

⚠️ What to avoid with Epithalon

    – Alcohol

    – High-dose melatonin (it can replace melatonin, do not stack them)

    – Extra sedatives while running it for sleep

    – Theoretical caution with active cancer due to pineal gland's role in cell regulation (not proven, just noted)

    – Not WADA banned but classified as a non-approved substance for tested athletes

    πŸ›‘οΈ What is Glutathione?

    – Discovered in 1888, actively used in Italy to treat Parkinson's after independent human trials

    – Your body's master antioxidant and the most important detox compound available

    – Scavenges free radicals, recycles vitamins C and E so they keep working, and escorts toxins out of the body

    πŸ”¬ What Glutathione actually does

    – Liver detox and protection: number one clinical use in Western medicine, especially post-alcohol and for fatty liver support

    – Parkinson's and neuroprotection: proven in human trials to protect nerves from chemotherapy damage

    – Immune support and long COVID recovery: being used in post-viral fatigue and long COVID protocols

    – Skin lightening: the number one global use. High doses will make you pale. Low doses for wellness will not

    1:01:12 – Q&A: CJC/Ipa Reactions & the Ideal Longevity Stack

    We cover:

β€’ Can You Trust a COA Is From the Right Batch?: Why there's no perfect answer, why cost and transparency are the best vetting tools, and why good companies test the same batch multiple times

β€’ HGH vs Tesamorelin β€”The Long Game: Why Tesamorelin still retains its visceral fat-burning properties even alongside HGH, why secretagogues are redundant on HGH, and why five-plus years is the real timeline

β€’ HGH Causing Seborrheic Dermatitis: Why elevated IGF-1 increases sebaceous gland activity, why switching to a secretagog may reduce but not eliminate the issue, and when dropping HGH altogether is the right call

β€’ SIBO and Candida Protocol: Why oral BPC and KPV are the foundation, the role of fasting and carnivore in starving off gut overgrowth, and why Dr. Scott and holistic practitioners are the right people to guide this

β€’ Peptides for Eye Health After Statin Damage: Why SS-31 is the most promising compound with clinical trials behind it, and why BPC, TB-500, Epithalon, and Visalutin are also worth researching

β€’ 8% Body Fat Firefighter Overtraining: Why one or two rest days accelerate results, why sleep and stress management outrank adding compounds, and why fasting is JD's top lean-out tool for men

β€’ Longevity Stack for Women Over 60: Why HGH is the unanimous pick for bone density and belly fat, why SS-31 before MOTS-C is non-negotiable, and why creatine is the most underrated supplement for older women

β€’ Klotho Peptide β€” Early Impressions: Why JD and Will are both running it now and will report back once they have firsthand experience to share

Peptide of the Week: What's Really in Your Beef With Tim Elkins Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

Medical Disclaimer: We are not doctors. The content in this video is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Any compounds discussed may be intended for research purposes only. Use at your own risk.

Welcome back, warriors! In this episode of Peptide of the Week, JD Denham and William T. Haas sit down with Tim Elkins, JD's first mentor in business and now owner of Elkins Cattle Co., one of Texas's largest cattle operations spanning 40 to 50 thousand acres. This one is not about peptides. It is about what is actually in your food and why it matters just as much.

    Chapters:

    00:00 – Intro

    00:13 – Meeting Tim Elkins

01:36 – Tim's Background: Finance to Cattle Ranching

07:53 – The Time Management Lesson That Changed JD's Career

10:35 – Cattle Ranch to Table: How the Industry Really Works

12:23 – The "Big Four" Monopoly Explained

14:24 – Why Elkins Cattle Co Refuses to Cut Corners

18:46 – The Truth About Foreign Beef

21:00 – Why Ribeye Prices Doubled & Who Profits

25:03 – Grocery Store Ground Beef: What's Really In It

29:44 – What's Legal But Should Shock You

34:29 – How to Tell a Cheated Steak From a Real One

39:10 – The Truth About "Wagyu" Labels at Costco

    42:47 – Grass-Fed vs. Grain-Finished Explained

47:26 – Inside a Feedlot: How They Track Every Animal

54:08 – How Buying Local Can Starve Out the Big Four & Outro

    We cover:

πŸ„ How beef actually gets to your table

    – 90% of American beef passes through just four companies: JBS, Cargill, Tyson, and National Beef

    – These four have a stranglehold monopoly on the entire industry and prioritize speed and profit over quality

    – 70% of beef consumed in America is foreign beef. Most people have no idea

    – Animals are often slaughtered at under 12 months old or as old non-producing cows to cut costs

    – Horse meat in fast food chains: confirmed. And it is more widespread than just Taco Bell

🚫 What store-bought beef actually contains

    – Hormones, antibiotics, mRNA vaccines, and artificial additives are standard practice in commercial beef production

    – Wagyu labeling loophole: a product only needs 0.001% wagyu genetics to legally use the wagyu label. That ribeye at Costco is not what you think it is

    – "Grass-fed" on a label means almost nothing. Every cow has eaten at least one piece of grass. The label has no meaningful standard

    – Pink slime in ground beef is real and it comes from reputable-looking places, not just fast food

    – Veal in most restaurants is almost certainly a calf that died in transit or in a pen, not one that was intentionally raised for that purpose

πŸ₯© What Elkins Cattle Co. does differently

    – Zero hormones, zero antibiotics, zero mRNA vaccines, zero shortcuts

    – All animals are 30 months old at slaughter, not 12 months

    – 40 to 50 thousand acres across Texas, nearly 9,000 head of cattle

    – Consumer direct: order by Monday, ships frozen to your door by Tuesday

    – Retina scanning technology tags every animal daily, tracking food intake, water, health markers, and time spent laying down. Red X spray marks any animal that needs attention that morning

    – Grass-fed AND grass-finished: fed four specific grasses including coastal Bermuda, Klein, native grasses, and winter oats to mimic the intramuscular fat quality of grain-finished beef without any GMO grain inputs

    – Animal welfare is non-negotiable: a stressed, unhappy cow does not gain weight properly and the difference shows up in the meat

    1:16:32 – Outro & Coaching Program Plug

    We cover:

β€’ Warrior Maker Wellness Center is Coming: Hyperbaric chambers, red light, and longevity services dropping in downtown Huntington Beach and Warrior Makers supplements by Christmas

β€’ 8% Body Fat Firefighter Overtraining: Why a rest day is when you actually build muscle, why sleep and stress management matter more than adding compounds, and why fasting is JD's top add for lean men

β€’ MOTS-C Personal Experience When It Works and When It Doesn't: Why some people feel nothing on MOTS-C and why blood work and stool testing reveal more than any peptide response

β€’ FOXO4-DRI vs Fasting for Autophagy: Why JD prefers fasting over FOXO4 for senescent cell clearance, why a 72-hour fast quarterly may be the most powerful longevity tool available, and why Epithalon pairs perfectly with a four-week break

β€’ Fasting for Women Is Different: Nora's case for eating to your circadian rhythm, why skipping breakfast triggers thyroid issues in perimenopausal women, and why front-loading protein and calories changes everything

β€’ 47-Year-Old Female First Cycle Break Protocol: Why Epithalon for 10-20 days plus high-dose SS-31 is the ideal four-week reset, and why staying on glutathione through the break makes sense

β€’ Fatigue on R in Women: Why under-fueling is almost always the culprit, why MOTS-C was a game changer for Mike on R, and why glycine and magnesium glycinate are non-negotiable for sleep

β€’ Longevity Stack for Post-Menopausal Women at 55: Why HGH is the unanimous answer, why blood work including A1C and fasting insulin must come first, and why it targets belly fat specifically

β€’ R Maintenance vs Cycling Off at Goal Weight: Why 1 meg every five days is Mike's sweet spot, why JD believes building discipline off the compound matters just as much, and why both approaches are valid

Peptide of the Week: Gut Health Deep Dive With Liz Roman, The Poop Queen Sep 14, 2026

Haas sit down with Liz Roman, owner of FitMom Functional Health, certified functional practitioner, co-host of The Health Revival Show, and the self-proclaimed (and trademarked) Poop Queen. If your gut is jacked, this episode is for you.

    Chapters:

00:00 – Intro & Meeting Liz "The Poop Queen"

01:51 – Why Everyone's Gut Is Struggling Today

07:09 – The Foundation: Diet, Hormones & Stress Come First

08:59 – JD's Gut Story & Where to Start Healing

13:13 – Stomach Acid: The Missing Domino

15:39 – Order of Operations: Parasites, Detox & Ivermectin

19:40 – Rapid Fire: What Should Poop Look Like?

21:28 – Prebiotics vs. Probiotics vs. Postbiotics Explained

26:39 – Junk Products & Peptide Scams to Avoid

30:59 – Daily Habits: Eating & Bathroom Hygiene

35:27 – Fasting & Protein Timing for Women

    40:11 – Decoding Chronic Bloating

    43:10 – Liz's Personal Health Journey

46:57 – SIBO, Candida & the Real Role of Antibiotics

    52:07 – Liz's Favorite Peptides & Daily Supplement Stack

    We cover:

    🦠 Why everyone's gut is a mess

    – Chronic stress, poor diet, COVID spike proteins, nutritional deficiencies, and environmental toxins are all converging at once

    – Spike proteins attach to mast cell receptors throughout the gut microbiome and cardiovascular system, shifting how the immune system behaves

    – Magnesium, B vitamins, and vitamin D deficiencies accelerated post-2020 and are still largely unaddressed

    – You will never out-supplement, out-peptide, or out-hormone a bad diet and poor stress management. Period.

    🧬 The north-to-south digestion process

    – Stomach acid is the first domino. When it is low (from stress, aging, NSAIDs, medications, or past substance use), nothing downstream works properly

    – Stomach acid must be robust enough to emulsify protein into amino acids AND kill incoming parasites, pathogens, viruses, and bacteria

    – Always take betaine HCL in capsule form, never powder, the capsule protects it from being neutralized before it reaches the stomach

    – Low stomach acid fails to signal the pancreas, which then fails to release digestive enzymes, which then fails to signal the liver and gallbladder to release bile

🫐 Bile is the missing link nobody talks about

    – Bile is your internal built-in antimicrobial, circulating through the small intestine 15 to 17 times per meal

    – It is your body's natural defense against SIBO. When bile flow is compromised, bacteria overgrow where they should not be

    – The liver-gut axis is real, anatomically proven, and almost entirely ignored by conventional medicine

    – Supporting bile flow with things like TUDCA is essential, especially on GLP-1s and high-fat diets

🦠 SIBO, Candida, parasites, and the carnivore trap

    – Restrictive diets like carnivore can clear symptoms short term but also deprive gut bacteria of the fibers, polyphenols, and prebiotics they need to thrive

    – Parasite cleanses need to be a minimum of 45 to 60 days, not 7-day moon cycles. The parasite lifecycle is 45 to 60 days from egg to adult

    – Antibiotics take 6 months to 2 years to recover from after just one round. If you must take them, support the gut simultaneously

56:53 – Outro & New Hyperbaric Chamber Announcement

    We cover:

β€’ Building Muscle at 13.5% Body Fat as a Woman: Why eating more not less is the answer, why AOD should come out, and why 5-Amino-1-MQ, SLU-PP-332, and Tesamorelin-Ipa are the right additions

β€’ Carnivore Diet on "R" with Ulcerative Colitis: Why high fat plus slow gastric emptying causes the problem, why small frequent meals fix it, and why a little fiber and 50 grams of carbs around training goes a long way

β€’ St. John's Wort & "R" Interactions: Why R is broken down by protein enzymes not the liver's CYP450 system, why St. John's Wort is notorious for drug interactions, and why milk thistle, TUDCA, and glutathione are better liver support

β€’ Mixed Connective Tissue Disease & KPV: Why oral BPC and KPV are generally safe to add, and why coming off a biologic requires a knowledgeable doctor not a podcast

β€’ Low Energy on Tirzepatide at 133 Pounds: Why under-eating protein is the most likely culprit, why tracking macros is more powerful than any peptide, and why NAD, SS-31, MOTS-C, and methylated B12 are the right energy stack

β€’ Lyophilized Peptide Shelf Life The Real Answer: Why unmixed peptides last up to two years in a cool dark place, why freezing creates moisture risk, and why the crisper drawer in a small fridge is all you need

β€’ Do Peptides Show Up on a 5-Panel Drug Test: Why no standard workplace panel tests for peptides and why only high-level professional sports testing would even attempt it

β€’ HGH vs IGF-1 LR3 β€” Can You Stack Both: Why CJC-Ipa is redundant once you're on HGH, when combining HGH and IGF-1 LR3 adds benefit vs. risk, and why MK-677 may be the smarter muscle-building add-on

β€’ Marathon Prep Stack at 53 Down 87 Pounds: Why Wolverine is non-negotiable at this age and mileage, why Cardarine and SLU-PP-332 are the endurance game changers, and why adding HGH now gives it time to work before December

β€’ Mitochondrial Stack for a 55-Year-Old Working at 2:30 AM: Why SS-31 comes first for at least two weeks, when to layer in MOTS-C, why NAD timing doesn't matter, and why Dihexa, magnesium glycinate, and glycine round out the protocol

    37:37 – Stacking with GLP-1s & Breaking Plateaus

40:49 – Outro, Feedback & Next Episode Preview

    We cover:

🧠 ARA-290 β€” Nerve Repair and Neuropathic Pain

    – First discovered and researched in the early 2000s, still experimental but with human trials

    – Selectively binds to the Tissue Protective Receptor (TPR) on immune cells, nerve cells, and metabolic tissues

    – Reprograms macrophages from pro-inflammatory to anti-inflammatory, actually healing the nerve instead of masking pain

    – Used for small fiber neuropathy, sarcoidosis, autoimmune nerve conditions, diabetic neuropathy, and post-viral recovery including long COVID

    – Unlike painkillers, effects continue AFTER you stop taking it because it is healing the nerve, not just covering the pain

    Real-world reports:

    – Burning pain dropped from a 7 out of 10 to a 2 out of 10 within 3 weeks in diabetic neuropathy patients

    – Mood lift and mental calm reported within 4 days (not the main intention but consistently reported)

    – Nerve fiber density measurably increases over days to weeks

    – Effects often persist 3 to 6 months post-cycle

    What to stack with:

    – BPC-157 and TB-500, NAD+, alpha lipoic acid, methylcobalamin, and B vitamins

    What to avoid:

    – NSAIDs and corticosteroids will blunt the effects

    – Alcohol, high sugar, ultra-processed food, and chronic sleep deprivation all work against nerve healing

    πŸ”₯ 5-Amino-1MQ β€” The Fat Burning Compound

    – Not a peptide, technically a small molecule compound. First developed around 2014

    – Blocks NNMT (Nicotinamide N-Methyltransferase), which is massively upregulated in obese fat tissue and actively drives fat storage

    – Blocking NNMT shifts your metabolism to burn fat instead of store it, essentially injecting keto without the diet

    – Also replenishes NAD+ levels that have been depleted with age

    – In animal studies: obese mice lost 7 to 9% of fat with no loss of lean muscle while eating the same amount of food

    – Adds an additional 7 to 9% fat loss on top of GLP-1 results because it works on a completely different pathway

    Who it is for:

    – Anyone on a GLP-1 who has plateaued, this will relight the fire

    – People with insulin resistance or pre-diabetes, it increases insulin sensitivity

    – Already lean people looking to get even leaner and enhance body composition

    – People with metabolic syndrome or NAD+ depletion

    Best stacks: GLP-1 (especially R), MOTS-C, NMN, NAD+, L-Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, CoQ10

Peptide of the Week: What's Really in Your Water – With Dani Carroll Aug 31, 2026

Haas sit down with Dani Carroll, a holistic health coach with 17 years of experience, Ayurvedic specialist, and yoga teacher. This one is not about peptides. It is about the thing most of us completely overlook that could be undermining everything else we do. Water.

    Chapters:

    00:00 – Intro & Meeting Dani Carroll

    01:05 – Dani's Autoimmune Story & Failed Treatments

07:00 – Discovering the Water That Changed Everything

11:11 – First Results: Brain Fog, Joint Pain & Skin

13:00 – Testing It on Her Skeptical Parents

17:56 – Why Isn't Anyone Talking About Water?

19:17 – The Truth About Tap & Bottled Water

25:44 – How Bottled Water Degrades in Transit

27:47 – RO & Distilled Water: The Mineral Problem

29:46 – Understanding pH & the Alkaline Water Scam

    34:06 – JD's GERD & Gut Health Case Study

    41:19 – Chlorine, Showers & Skin Absorption

50:04 – How the Machine's Settings & Hydrogen Water Work

1:14:04 – Checking Your Own Tap Water (EWG Database)

1:21:13 – Five Rules for Drinking Water & Outro

    We cover:

    πŸ’§ Dani's story

    – Autoimmune disease surfaced at 16, misdiagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, full body joint pain and monthly skin peeling episodes

    – Spent years going through every elimination diet, raw vegan, autoimmune paleo, nothing lasted beyond 90 days

    – Gut microbiome destroyed by antibiotics prescribed by doctors who never addressed the root cause

    – Discovered structured alkaline water during postpartum depression, within 45 days her skin stopped peeling for the first time in years

    – 90 days in she was glowing. Her father lost weight, eliminated gout, and cleared acid reflux within months

🧬 Why water matters more than food

    – You can survive 40 days without food. You die in 3 days without water. Yet nobody talks about water quality

    – Tap water contains chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, forever chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides

    – The chemicals in tap water are often added to protect aging city pipes, not to clean your water

    – Water softeners add salt or potassium to protect your pipes, they are not designed to be consumed

    – RO filtered water strips all minerals. Drinking it long term leaches minerals from your bones, causing bone density loss and eventually osteoporosis

    – Plastic bottled water is dead water that sits in your stomach, does not absorb properly, and leaches microplastics

🚿 Your shower is a bigger problem than you think

    – You absorb approximately one liter of water through your skin during a 10 to 15 minute hot shower

    – Pores open in hot water, you inhale chlorine vapor, and your body absorbs it all

    The 7 pH settings explained:

    – 2.5 pH (hypochlorous acid): kills E. coli, MRSA, and bacteria. Use to sanitize meat, surfaces, and as mouthwash

    – 11.5 pH (strong alkaline): veggie wash, makeup remover, skin treatment, poison ivy compress, eczema protocol. Neutralizes pesticides and herbicides which are designed to be water resistant

    – 6.0 pH (beauty water): matches your skin and hair pH of 6.4. Use to wash your face and hair, works as a leave-in conditioner without stripping natural oils

    – 7.0 pH (neutral): neutral rinse water for cooking and final food rinse

    – 8.5, 9.0, 9.5 pH: drinking water levels depending on your health goals and tolerance
