"I'm in the Weeds," and The Life Lessons I Learned Working in Restaurants May 23, 2023
    Show notes

    Send Lauren a text!

On this podcast I will share the lessons I learned from working in the restaurant business and how I apply them to my life now.
I was not a very good waitress. From falling down stairs to cutting myself constantly in the kitchen and never being able to properly cash out at the end of the night. But somehow I always felt valued by the restaurant owners.
In this episode I will share four things I learned working as a waitress at Two Steps Downtown Grille in the 1990's:

    • Overwhelm and hectic times don't last forever
    • Letting other's know, "I'm in the Weeds," and asking for help has many benefits
    • Offering help to others when they are, "In the Weeds," helps to build connection and community
    • Forming connection with others wherever you work will lead to a happier life
    • Work, "Smarter, not Harder," in everything you do to save time and be more efficient

On this episode I mention this video: https://youtu.be/K5ceQJLRp6w
