Today’s Bible Verse: “Then the man said, ‘Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.’” — Genesis 32:28
Genesis 32:28 marks a life-changing moment in Jacob’s story. After wrestling through the night with God, Jacob receives a new name: Israel. His old name was tied to struggle, deception, and striving, but God gives him a new identity shaped by transformation and purpose.
This episode explores how encounters with God change us from the inside out. Like Jacob, many of us carry labels, failures, or past identities that no longer define who God is calling us to become. God often works through seasons of wrestling, surrender, and perseverance to shape our character and deepen our faith.

Today’s Bible Verse: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
Galatians 2:20 is one of the clearest descriptions of the transformed Christian life. Paul explains that following Jesus is more than adopting new habits or beliefs—it’s receiving a completely new identity. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, the old life marked by sin, self-rule, and striving no longer defines us.

Today’s Bible Verse: “In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. I had not been sad in his presence before.” — Nehemiah 2:1
Nehemiah 2:1 captures a quiet but pivotal moment. Nehemiah had been carrying deep grief and burden over the condition of Jerusalem, yet this was the first time the king noticed it on his face. Today’s Bible Verse: “Jesus replied, ‘You may go. Your son will live.’ The man took Jesus at his word and departed.” — John 4:50
John 4:50 highlights a powerful moment of faith. A desperate father came to Jesus seeking healing for his dying son. Instead of going with him, Jesus simply spoke: “Your son will live.” The remarkable part of the story is what follows—the man believed Jesus before seeing any evidence.

Today’s Bible Verse: “When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what shall we do? Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’" — Acts 2:37-38
Acts 2:37 captures the moment the gospel truly landed in people’s hearts. After hearing Peter preach about Jesus, the crowd wasn’t merely informed—they were deeply convicted. The message pierced through distraction, pride, and routine, leading them to ask a life-changing question: “What shall we do?”
This passage reminds us that the gospel is meant to move us, not just educate us. Sometimes we become so familiar with the story of Jesus that we stop feeling its weight and wonder. But when we hear it again with open hearts, it has the power to awaken conviction, repentance, and renewed faith.
