Have the Cowboys finally surpassed the Eagles? NFC East DEEP DIVE | Football 301 Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Nate Tice & Matt Harmon deep dive on all four teams in the NFC East ahead of the 2026 NFL season. The duo start off with the defending division champ Philadelphia Eagles, who have a new-look offense under OC Sean Mannion and a defense that hopes to continue their top-five play with a few additions.

Next up are the Dallas Cowboys, who Nate & Matt agree have taken huge steps forward on their defense this offseason. But have the Cowboys done enough on defense for their star-studded offense to carry them to a division title? The Washington Commanders are up next, who received a huge blow to their offense when LT Laremy Tunsil went down with a serious injury last week. What we can expect from their new-look offense? The duo wrap things up with the New York Giants, who look like they’re planning on being a ground-and-pound offense under new HC John Harbaugh and OC Matt Nagy, with a defense that just needs to play up to its talent level to impress.

Nate & Matt finish things off with their final predictions for how this fascinating division plays out in 2026.

The duo start off with the defending division champs, the Denver Broncos, who are hoping to improve on an impressive playoff run last season with a new offensive playcaller (Davis Webb) and a new superstar at wide receiver (Jaylen Waddle).

Next, Nate & Hayden attempt to decipher whether we can trust the hype around the Los Angeles Chargers, who have been receiving a lot of attention around a new-look offense under offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. The Kansas City Chiefs are up next, as Nate & Hayden discuss whether some huge changes could be coming to the offensive system following the addition of Kenneth Walker III.

The duo wrap things up with the Las Vegas Raiders, who are hoping to see a return to normalcy under head coach Klint Kubiak and a solid development year for first overall pick quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Show notes

Nate Tice & Matt Harmon kick off their division preview series with a deep dive on the four AFC East teams. The duo start off with the Buffalo Bills, who, under new leadership, are hoping to retake the division crown with a new weapon in D.J. Moore and a revamped defensive scheme.

After a quick check-in from Eric Froton celebrating the launch of College Fantasy Football on Yahoo, Nate & Matt break down the New England Patriots, who are largely running back the team that made it to the Super Bowl last season (with one major addition), and the Miami Dolphins, who have all the makings of a team with the goal of picking early next offseason.

The two hosts wrap things up with the New York Jets, whose coaching staff, despite making some interesting additions on both sides of the ball, still need to prove they can lead this team anywhere but the bottom of the division.

(32:00) - Eric Froton's #1 sleeper college offense to watch

    Show notes

Nate Tice sits down with Domonique Foxworth to cover how the NFL game is evolving over time, including the biggest issues the league faces entering the 2026 season.

Later, Domonique provides his insight as former president of the NFLPA as the duo dive into the state of the NFL Player’s Association: What should be the hardline issues players are fighting for in the next CBA? Could there be a labor strike looming? How do NFLPA execs decide what’s worth fighting for?

(1:40) - How NFL training camp is evolving, preparing for a long season

(12:50) - How the NFL game is evolving: players, tendencies, trends

Nate Tice & Matt Harmon break down the biggest offseason moves and what to expect from the 7 NFL teams nobody seems to be talking about.
