Week 7 Wrap-Up: Mitchell Trubisky...Blake Bortles, 2.0?! Oct 22, 2018

Show notes

Week 7's Sunday action has come and gone, and with it so have some more running backs. Sony Michel's knee injury was a big lowlight of the day. Just as we've seen all season though, when someone goes down, someone else must step up. Our experts discuss the new outlook for James White, as well as some new faces at RB who have taken a spotlight this season (enter: Nick Chubb).

Blake Bortles' benching was another lowlight of the day, and our experts try to make sense of the fantasy situation in Jacksonville. Speaking of Bortles, is Mitchell Trubisky his fantasy twin?

Our experts then hear your biggest regrets for Week 7 (TFW you forget to bench Melvin Gordon — ouch) along with a couple of pickup options for Week 8, when the Titans, Chargers, Cowboys, and Falcons will be on bye.

Week 7 Preview: Freeman to IR, Sony's Future and Fantasy Break-Ups and Crushes Oct 19, 2018

Show notes

Week 7 is here! On this week’s episode, our experts break down all the happenings leading up to kickoff. These include the big news of Devonta Freeman being placed on IR. Who owns the edge in the Atlanta backfield now: known-commodity Tevin Coleman, or new kid on the block Ito Smith? Our experts also delve into the dumpster fire known as the Titans offense, where everyone from Marcus Mariota to Derrick Henry has been a fantasy disappointment.

Later, our experts lay their feelings bare, revealing their biggest fantasy crushes (heyyy Kenny Golladay), their worst breakups (never want to see you AGAIN, Amari Cooper!), and the fantasy reconciliations they wish would happen (take me back, Josh Gordon!).

Of course, we can't forget about Andy and Brad going at it over their Week 7 rankings — who knew Mitchell Trubisky could cause such turmoil?

Liz and Dalton then wrap up with a couple bargains and fades for Yahoo Daily Fantasy.

Week 6 Wrap-Up: As Le'Veon Bell looms, is James Conner destined to disappear? Oct 15, 2018

Show notes

Many people predicted what Brock Osweiler would do against the Bears. Those three interceptions and two lost fumbles were...oh wait. No, no, Osweiler decided to cover for an injured Tannehill and proceed to light up one of the best defenses in the NFL. Then Dak Prescott and the Cowboys followed Osweiler's lead by ripping the Jaguars defense to the tune of 40 points. That's Week 6 for you. Some things weren't shocking though, like Todd Gurley going nuts in Denver and James Conner having a day when the Steelers needed it most. Yet, when the dust settles, was that performance by James Conner...his last big show (*insert villainous Le'Veon Bell laugh*)?

Liz Loza, Scott Pianowski and Matt Harmon break down those Week 6 happenings and more in this week’s podcast episode (bidding for Gurley in an auction draft, anyone?). They also discuss the Browns getting steamrolled against the Chargers (Baker Mayfield finally Browned), as well as Julio Jones and his seemingly impenetrable touchdown-preventing force field (even when Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu left the game!!!).

Continuing with that same theme of head-scratching performances, our experts then try to help you understand some of the most confusing occurrences that happened in your fantasy matchups this week, along with a couple of pickup options for Week 7.

Week 6 Preview: Which stars are you losing sleep over? Oct 12, 2018

Show notes

Week 6 is here! On this week’s episode, our experts break down all the happenings leading up to kickoff, including the Alvin Kamara situation after Mark Ingram's return brought his fantasy train to a screeching stop. Our experts also delve into stars like Kamara who might have fantasy owners worried.

Later, they’ll help you deal with some of the potentially bad fantasy decisions that players have made or might make (we're here for you *hugs*).

And while our experts try to provide an intervention for players, Brad and Andy might need an intervention of their own while arguing over their rankings for Week 6!

Liz and Dalton then wrap up with a couple bargains and fades for Yahoo Daily Fantasy.

Week 5 Wrap-Up: RB Bouncebacks and other things not to blow out of proportion Oct 08, 2018

Show notes

There were some very big matchups on tap in Week 5 — ones that would answer some equally big questions. Would Patrick Mahomes throw his first interception against the Jaguars? How would the Steelers-Falcons slugfest end? Could Aaron Rodgers return to form in a divisional matchup with Detroit?

Scott Pianowski and Matt Harmon break down those games and more in this week's podcast episode. They also discuss the Zero-RB Theory in a week where many rushers — like...Isaiah Crowell?! — had big performances.

Our experts then answer your questions about some of the surprising fantasy lines in Week 5, analyzing which were a sign of things to come and which were nothing more than just plain old fool's gold.

Week 5 Preview: Re-drafting the 2018 fantasy season Oct 05, 2018

Show notes

If you had the chance to start your fantasy football season from scratch — to draft once again — who would you take in the first round? How would a fantasy draft end up looking today?

Are you still going with Todd Gurley at number one overall? Does Patrick Mahomes belong anywhere close to the first round?

Since we've gone a quarter-way through the NFL season and about a third of the way through the Fantasy regular season, Yahoo experts Liz Loza and Dalton Del Don decided to think about what the top of a fantasy draft would look like now that we've reached Week 5.

They discuss this list and more on the latest episode, which includes matchups to look out for in Week 5, a special edition of "Fantasy Court" with judge Andy Behrens, "This Week in Fantasy History," and a few bargain plays and fades for Daily Fantasy.

Week 4 Wrap-Up: Money-Making Mitch and the revenge of the QB Oct 01, 2018

Show notes

Much was made of the apparent demise of Tom Brady and Andrew Luck and Mitchell Trubisky (was he ever alive?), but Week 4 proved that perhaps those assumptions were ill-advised. Luck put up a performance that silenced his critics (at least for the week) and Brady returned home to utterly dominate the division-leading Miami Dolphins. Yet those performances paled in comparison to what Trubisky did to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Liz Loza, Scott Pianowski, and Matt Harmon break down those spectacular performances as well as answer your questions about the important lessons learned during Week 4.

Our experts also discuss the two-headed monster forming in Patriots backfield, the sudden resurgence of the Titans offense, and a dissection into Aaron Rodgers' chances of ever being a "sit" candidate.

They wrap up with waiver-wire options you should consider as we look ahead to Week 5.

Week 4 Preview: How will the young QBs look? Sep 28, 2018

Show notes

Week 4 is here! On this week’s episode, our experts break down all the happenings leading up to kickoff, including a few Buy-Low/Sell-High candidates (*cough* Kareem Hunt *cough*). They also touch upon some old signal callers still slinging the rock and the new school of talent making their first starts on Sunday.

Later, they’ll answer some of your questions about players who are staring down some difficult matchups in Week 4, and which you're most afraid of.

Our very own Brad Evans then delivers Week 4’s edition of “Great Moments in Fantasy History,” going back in time to showcase one of the most epic performances by a Seattle Seahawks legend.

The team wraps up with a couple bargains and fades for Week 4 of Yahoo Daily Fantasy, but not before trying to guess which names actually belong to active skill players and which are made up in a new game we're calling, "The Jason Croom 'Who Is This Guy?' All-Stars."

Week 3 Wrap-Up: Upsets galore in topsy-turvy Sunday Sep 24, 2018

Show notes

Week 3 delivered us a football Sunday replete with some confusing box scores. One that wasn't confusing is the Vikings crushing the Bills, 27-6...oh wait. Wait. No, the BUFFALO BILLS WENT TO MINNESOTA AND DOMINATED THE VIKINGS. Yes, that happened, and more. Week 3, ladies and gentlemen.

Liz Loza, Scott Pianowski, and Matt Harmon break down that unexpected result as well as answer your questions about some other Week 3 surprises and the fantasy impacts of each of them.

Our experts also discuss one of the biggest losses of the day, as San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Jimmy Garappolo went down with what looked like a devastating injury. One of the biggest winners of the day though, was Patrick Mahomes, who continued to light up the league on Sunday. Our experts discuss the Chiefs incredible offense as well as another classic Saints-Falcons matchup.

They wrap up with waiver-wire options you should consider as we look ahead to Week 4.

Later, they'll answer some of your questions about the players who shined in the first two weeks, and which of them has the best chance to keep it up.

Our very own Brad Evans then delivers Week 3's edition of "Great Moments in Fantasy History," going back in time to showcase one of the most insane stat lines in wide receiver history.
