This is Episode 13, our last of the season, before I take a brief hiatus and resume the podcast in the summer. And today we were GOING to be talking about my new outlook on dating as I went into my third year of singleness. What I wanted. How I planned to get it. And how it was going, three months in.

BUT baby! Life has been lifing is the most funny way possible, and baby. I am in a relationship now. So instead, we’ll talk about how an unexpected someone has made me live my entire life more romantically and creatively. A letter I wrote to myself at the top of January. And how returning home to Atlanta changed my life. It’s a lot to get into.

My parents set a tone for vocal, verbal, tangible love. Something you can cling to. Something you can keep tucked away like treasure. Likely because, all around my childhood home were post it notes, and printed notes and notes on napkins. I went on to share this love action with every lover until my last boyfriend, who met it with refusal. I was reintroduced to this part of my love language this year and it had me walking on sunshine. #CourtingCourtnee and the decision to multi-date Jun 30, 2022

Welcome to Episode 1 of With Love & Butter, a chef’s podcast on dating & relationships and the food & drinks that get us through it.

I decided to start this podcast for two reasons. 1. Food is love, and I’ve been a participant in thousands of loving moments, both romantic or platonic, by way of my baking or cooking. and 2. I was able to prioritize self-discovery in my dating life, and always always always, food and drinks served as the backdrop. I want to share my re-imaginings of those menu items and make them my own. Many recipes will also be entirely of my own imagination as part of my chef/ lover girl journey.
