We wrap up our discussion of the Game of Thrones finale, “The Iron Throne,” by exploring the theme of “cripples, bastards, and broken things,” and asking whether the show succeeded in fulfilling the promises made. We fawn over Sansa’s coronation gown and have more questions about King Brandon the Broken. We give fair warning that we will be discussing the books because we have opinions about certain adaptation choices. If you are interested in hearing about how Jon Snow, Dorne, and Tyrion were much more interesting in the books, or if you agree that a certain omitted character was likely crucial to the downfall of Daenerys, or if you are curious to hear a passionate defense of Edmure as a caring lord mourning the death of his father, rather than the bumbling fool the show makes him out to be, then this is the podcast for you.
