Episode #22 | Share Love Everywhere with Ashley Reale
May 25, 2017
source: shareloveeverywhere.com
Hello, hello! I guess I'm back, baby! Though, I didn't really mean to take a break. In the intro of this podcast, you'll hear me share a bit about why it is that I've become a bit of a recluse this past month and a half (maybe even three) so I won't spoil everything in this post. That's right --- plug in those headphones now that you've been teased!
I will, however, go ahead and introduce my friend and lovely podcast guest, Ashley Reale of Love Everywhere, a company and brand that focuses on literally spreading love like butter across the world. How does she do it? Whether it's through inspiring cards, printable downloads from her site, or her inspiring posts on IG, Ashley keeps her message clear and caring.
Did I mention her and her husband have conjured up an even sweeter way to make people's days? That's right! They've established a beautiful new concept called The Nicest Thing which is a documentary series they'll make while traveling the country. You can read more below...
Just a little info on the purpose of their Kickstarter for The Nicest Thing:
The Nicest Thing is a 12 episode documentary series and cross county US tour asking people from all walks of life one simple question: "What's the nicest thing someone has done for you?" Our world needs to hear stories of triumph, of celebration, of bright-hearts working hard to make this planet a kinder place. In a country that seems so divided, we will show that with love in our hearts we’re really not all that different.
This project was inspired by my company, Love Everywhere—a kindness company that has left over 12,000 hand written, hand stamped, and hand numbered notes of encouragement hidden in plain sight for strangers to find. (More about Love Everywhere below!) The Nicest Thing is the next step in sharing Love Everywhere, and we need your help to make it a reality!
We will embark on the ultimate road trip, and work hand in hand with our Love Everywhere community across the US, doing pop up events designed to celebrate kindness and hope through local partnerships with boutiques, coffee shops and organizations. We’ll celebrate what’s right in our communities while sharing stories of hope and encouragement. Our signature Love Everywhere cards will be on hand for folks to write and distribute, creating a movement of love at the local level.
The Nicest Thing will inspire us all to share love and kindness each day in simple ways, with friends and strangers alike. This tour and video series will prove that love speaks loudest—and if we let it, love’s unifying power can be the very force that brings us together.

Apr 26, 2017
I'm so pumped up to announce that we have another returning guest to the podcast!
Source: Amandagyuran.com
Flex your intuition muscles, find empowerment through exercise and ignite your inner-inspiration with Feminine Empowerment Guide, Mind Body Nutritionist and Pilates Instructor, Amanda Gyuran. After years of struggling with exercise obsession and binge eating, Amanda slowly watched her hormonal health, relationships and creativity dwindle away. It’s now her mission to help women embody their feminine energy, banish body bashing and rock their relationship with fitness so they can live more connected, more vibrant lives and pursue their passions with purpose. Using a unique combination of Eating Psychology, Holistic Nutrition, Radical Self Care Rituals and Mind Body Movement, Amanda works with creative women worldwide through private mentorship programs, Live Retreats, and her online Pilates course, The Liberated Movement Method.
In our first episode together, Amanda introduces herself and explains the way she found pilates, began incorporating intuitive exercise into her daily life, and growing so so connected with her body. I highly recommend taking a listen to that one prior to this episode if you haven't yet heard it!
In this episode, Amanda and I discuss her incredible upcoming To the Core Retreat, and the incredible offer she is extending to the listeners of the podcast! That's 15% off the price of her retreat -- just mention me when you apply!
How does this retreat stand out from others you may have seen? Though I'll let Amanda really go into it in the episode, she explains that this retreat is a self-care sleepover, with intuitive movement, nature play, sound healing therapy, connecting with your feminine, all nourishing meals, and lodging included. Did I mention it's in Encinitas, California? If you didn't know, it looks like the photo below.

Episode #20 | Healthy Glow Collective with Lee Hersh
Mar 24, 2017
Happy Happy Friday, everyone!
You may have learned by now that I periodically space interviews apart with an empty week in between, but I'm brainstorming ways to make sure you never go a week without a podcast episode! Let me know in the comments what type of episode you'd be most interested in with just me. Maybe Q&A style where you write in and I answer your questions? Maybe a round-up of things I'm loving? Again, I'm brainstorming.

In the meantime, you're going to thoroughly enjoy this episode with Lee Hersh of FitFoodieFinds, a food and fitness blog dedicated to finding a balanced approach to a healthy lifestyle, and Healthy Glow Collective, a recent collaborative online wellness space brought to you by Lee and Monique (from Ambitious Kitchen).

Episode #19 | Cookbooks, Choosing Plants, & The First Mess with Laura Wright
Mar 06, 2017
SOURCE: thefirstmess.com
Last week, I tempted you all with a pretty delectable truffle recipe from The First Mess Cookbook, getting you somewhat acquainted with the author, Laura Wright, and what she's serving up. This week, she's debuting on the podcast, chatting with me on everything from why she chooses a plant-based lifestyle to how her cookbook came into fruition.
Oh, and did I mention her cookbook is available everywhereTOMORROW?
This book is unlike most plant-based cookbooks because Laura starts the book by really breaking down what materials and basic ingredients you need to have as a staple in your kitchen before you even begin. She helps readers lay the groundwork for always having delicious food on hand by helping them stock their pantry with whole grains, nuts, seeds & legumes, as well as keep fresh produce in their fridge. Not only does this approach make plant-based eating seem easy and achievable but also fun and exciting!
I can't even with this pizza recipe from her blog. Source: thefirstmess.com
I first heard a whisper of Laura's work and blog through our mutual friend, Jessica Murnane, whose cookbook I featured a few weeks ago. I was so intrigued by their conversations together on Jess's podcast, and I really began vibing with this girl's personality. I didn't wait long before I started reaching out to her on social media and then email, sealing her fate as a guest on my podcast!
Her approach to wellness is so refreshing, honest, and loving, keeping her primary focus on living a balanced lifestyle rather than always eating perfectly. We had a great time, and this conversation really flows like a chat between two friends. You're going to love it.
One of the best podcast episodes I've heard from a blogger was Laura's OPP episode with Jessica Murnane.
Episode #18 | Understanding Feminine & Masculine Energy with Maddy Moon
Mar 03, 2017
Hello, my dears! Another week, another blurb of inspiration from my corner of the world, and this week's episode couldn't come sooner. Sometimes, the podcast is exactly what I need to talk about in the moment, and this topic is no different.
This week, we have a returning guest, and I just couldn't be happier. Maddy Moon (of the Mind Body Musings Podcast) is our first guest to cue featured on the podcast more than once, and this time we're talking about one topic that I truly believe can change the way you view yourself and your current relationships (for the better).
We're discussing the harmony of feminine & masculine energy that exists in each and every one of us and how it affects everything from our relationships to our careers, and so much in between. We discuss how to recognize if there is an imbalance and ways in which you can learn to soften and embrace each and every side of you.
We strongly emphasize the concept that by embracing our femininity, we are never less than. In today's society, most of us identify with the concept of being a feminist, supporting equal rights, equal pay, and to be seen as no different than men. We tend to have this understanding that we aren't allowed to feel our emotions, nurture our families and partners, or act out of expression and desire. WRONG. In this episode we go into just how powerful the feminine essence is, and what magic can happen when we start stepping into these natural qualities and owning them as a part of who we are. As I said before, there is a balance here in each of us, and we go deeper into this in this episode, so don't miss it!
Feminine energy emotes, it makes art, has sex, exists from a slow space of enjoyment and understanding. Masculine energy works, isolates, controls, competes, and relies solely on themselves to get things done.
For my listeners only, Maddy is offering an extremely generous $100 OFF her Confidence Revival Retreat! Join her at the world-renown Kripalu Center for Yoga May 14-18 for this all-inclusive and life-changing experience.
**After you sign up and put your deposit down for the trip, shoot Maddy a quick email letting her know you're from my side of the world, and she'll give you the discount!**
The Confidence Revival Retreat is an intimate, all-inclusive gathering for women at the world-renown Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. This holistic, juicy, spiritual center is guaranteed to welcome you into its arms however you are, but invite you to leave the most authentic version of yourself- the true version of yourself
Have you found yourself feeling less and less independent over the past several years? Do you feel anxiety when you look in the mirror or at a plate of food? Do you spend more time thinking about how to be safe and likable than you care to admit?
With 2017 comes the fresh energy of new beginnings. Imagine five days centered around creating the incredible energy you gain from your favorite inspirational book or motivational podcast, but in an intimate gathering where you can divulge your greatest dreams, fears and current on-goings with a group of soul-sisters from around the world.
Episode #17 | Thriving & Being Your Own Boss with Libby Crow
Feb 24, 2017
Hey, loves!
Many of you may have caught my little announcement on Instagram earlier this week that I know the podcast is late premiering, and I'm so sorry for the delay! We got a brand new hard drive and were having trouble moving over all the podcast content from our ancient (and incredibly slow) hard drive, but we are finally successful!
SOURCE: Libbycrow.com
This week's episode is with the lovely Libby Crow. She's not only the sweetest person I've ever chatted with (legitimately sweet and caring, not just polite), she's also got a keen eye for all things entrepreneurial. Libby has been everything from an elementary teacher to a fitness and nutrition coach, and has landed in her niche: business coaching. That's right, Libby is in the process of launching her very own site to help you get your business off the ground and be your own boss. She assists in helping develop content for programs, courses, and helps you with a proper framework that flows naturally and authentically to your clients.

Episode #16 | Diet Mentality, Bodies in the Media, and Why Emotional Eating isn't a Bad Thing with Isabel Foxen Duke
Jan 31, 2017
I know I always say this, but it's always so true. These week's episode is incredible. Who's the guest, you ask?! No other than the amazing....
ISABEL FOXEN DUKE
Isabel is a coach and speaker who helps women stop feeling crazy around food. She works intimately with women who struggle to get their faces out of the bottom of the brownie pan after depriving themselves of all sweets and junk food. She helps women quit diet mentality and embrace who they are, the shit in their lives, and how it applies to their food. She gets real, and it's incredible.
o, this is a big one. This is a hugely informative/eye-opening episode, and I can't wait for you to throw your headphones on and dive in.
Fuck headphones. Hook this shit up to two giant speakers, and blast it off the rooftops. We're getting real with Isabel Foxen Duke on diet-binge mentality, why emotional eating isn't necessarily a bad thing, and what we're actually seeing in the media and how it's influencing the way we perceive ourselves.
As I mention in the beginning of the episode, I've been a huge fan of Isabel's work for quite sometime now, and I was so pumped to flow with her on some of these important and deep-ass topics. You guys already know how much I like to talk about body image and food!
I don't want to keep you too long reading this blog post, so I'll let you dive right in!

Episode #15 | Buti Yoga, Neria Collective & Break Method with Bizzie Gold
Jan 20, 2017
Hello, my loves! I know so many of you have been staying tuned on all things the podcast has been doing so far this year, but I also know so many of you are NEW!
If this is your first time here, welcome! This interview was definitely a game-changer, and I think it answers a lot of questions you might have regarding Buti Yoga, spirituality, and much more.
On a side note, my lucky number is #15, so I knew this episode was going to be lit AF.
Have you figured out who I'm talking about yet? That's right! The founder of Buti Yoga, Neria Collective, the Break Method, the list goes on and on...
B I Z Z I E G O L D
One of the world's top Personal Development + Wellness Experts, Bizzie Gold has appeared on The Dr. Oz Show, TODAY, E!, EXTRA, Home & Family, Bethenny, ABC NEWS and MSNBC to discuss her unique approach to sustainable transformation that has garnered widespread Hollywood praise (past clients include Julia Roberts + Jennifer Love Hewitt, among others). Gold's off-the-cuff humor and focus on diligent accountability, helps clients achieve striking breakthroughs in record breaking time. An industry disruptor to the core, Gold is bulldozing the model of "coaching" that financially preys on countless women across the globe, replacing it with a sustainable model that puts the clients swift breakthrough at the forefront of all sessions.
In this episode, we discuss all of Bizzie's latest projects and how you can personally become a part of the action. The project that I'm most excited about would absolutely be the BREAK Method, a 12-week online course that walks you through all of the pathways that have made you who you are and how you work. She points out that this is not designed to be a coaching program that you will need to return to. No codependence, just tools for you to take with you and change your own reality.
The enrollment for BREAK Method ends on Sunday evening, so check it out and sign up now!
I also found her explanation of the Neria Collective so warm and inviting: Regardless of where you are in your spiritual development and unfolding: support and education are at your hands and ready to be tapped into around the pillars of protection, enlightenment, & expansion.
Intrigued yet? I thought so!
We also tackle a few controversial topics surrounding Buti Yoga, namely cultural appropriation and the misconception that Buti is merely yoga with twerking. This episode doesn't really go as much into the history of Buti yoga or Bizzie's personal history, but I highly recommend plugging in and checking out her interview on Episode 16 of the Yoga Revealed podcast.
Personally, I find Bizzie's energy contagious and will be going through my Buti Yoga Teacher Training next weekend here in Nashville. I really believe that this episode is an incredible introduction to who she is, but also speaks to people who know of Bizzie yet maybe feel a little intimidated by her work and success. She's anything but intimidating! She's an inspiring and warm individual, and it's beyond worth it to become involved in what she's doing.
Without further hesitation, let's dive into this episode!
Show Notes:

Episode #14 | Starting a New Year's Revolution with Lu Uhrich
Jan 15, 2017
Hello, hello! It's officially 2017 -- can you believe it?! As you may have realized by now, I couldn't make the podcast my priority after the miscarriage and the holidays, so I just didn't. I put my own personal needs first, and you all waited so patiently for it to come back!
Luckily, we've got some incredible guests for you this month so far.
This episode is absolutely essential to beginning this year on the right foot. I had the honor of talking with the honest and talented Lu Uhrich on my *first ever* Skype video interview for the podcast! It was beyond cool; it genuinely felt as if we were hanging out and just shooting this shit about the diet and fitness industry, why women are already perfect, and how we don't need a New Year's Resolution to fill fulfilled this month.

-I mention this podcast episode with Amanda Gyuran surrounding intuitive exercise.
I think we’ve all experienced those times where we’re traveling home from a wild vacation or a party weekend and we feel not-so-awesome. Maybe a prickly headache, cravings for salty snacks or sweet treats, and body stiffness. We feel inflammation all over and we know there’s no way we’re walking away from a much-needed fun time with some not-so-fun consequences.
Maybe you’re coming off of a really restrictive diet, saw no results, and realize your relationship with your body is a little strained. Maybe you just want a little help with realigning your system, resting, feeling energized and satiated.
As a firm believer in balance, I realize some people accept these unpleasant side-effects as a fair trade for drinking with friends, hitting up their favorite pizza places, and lounging by the pool for a few days. I also believe that some of us run our bodies to the edge (myself included!) and when we unwind, we give zero fucks. This can feel rewarding and freeing in the moment, don’t get me wrong, but overdoing it isn’t always best.
Regardless if you’ve overdone it this weekend, or you just wanted this guide as a preventative measure for future occurrences of you not feeling your best, I’ve got you covered with tips and plant-based recipes to help you feel divine in no time!

The Wilder Podcast | Episode #12 | Carly Morgan Gross
Nov 16, 2016
Hey, my loves! As many of you know, I've been on a bit of a hiatus (miscarriage, election, etc.), but I'M BACK AND READY TO PARTY!
Ready to start the Sexy Self-Care party with Carly Morgan Gross, that is.
source: carlymorgangross.com
So, this is another one of those babes I'm completely obsessed with. I fan-girled rather hard when Carly messaged me randomly one day in response to a silly Instagram story I posted. I kind of freaked out.
You see, Carly is such a unique and inspiring beacon of love and hope. She encourages self-care, self-discovery, and self-love through a multitude of avenues, always reminding us that our physical bodies are merely a piece of the puzzle that is our entire existence. We are so much MORE!
Take her bio for example:
Hi, beauty. I'm Carly.
I'm a Mind-Body Nutritionist, Self-Care Alchemist, and Self-Love Coach.
I help sensitive souls feel at home in their bodies and at peace with food.
(PS: your sensitivity is your greatest gift!)
I guide women out of binging behaviors + body shaming and into their innate wisdom, intuition, and divine nature.
I’ll also help you say goodbye to the diet-restrict-binge-emotional-eating rollercoaster and teach you how to turn your food into (quite delicious) medicine so that you can feel free and at ease from within.
Ultimately: I will help you feel damn good: from the inside out.
Want that?
Her perspective is so refreshing, and it really resonates with me. When she encounters clients struggling with food and body-image, she encourages intuitive eating. Of course, we hear people talk about that all the time on the podcast! However, she also believes that there is nothing inherently wrong with eating nurturing whole foods, plant-based superfoods, as a means to thoroughly nourish your vessel. I feel like that's somewhat rare in the world of body-positivity, because it can translate to some people as a type of restriction.
When you think of these healthful and glorious foods as inclusive instead of restrictive, then you can really shift your perspective, and change the way your body feels. You can even thrive on these foods!
Okay, okay, we don't just talk about food. Like, we hardly talk about it compared to the topic of sexuality and sensuality. What?! We're talkin' about SEX, baby --- and you're going to love it. Want to know how to harness and embrace your feminist, and how that does NOT make you less of a woman (or a feminist for that matter), you absolutely have to tune into this episode. You're going to love it!

The Wilder Podcast | Episode #11 | Gala Darling
Oct 27, 2016
So, this podcast episode is especially important to me --- however, I'm pretty sure I say that almost every single time. It's not that each guest isn't special or interesting to me in some way, but with this week's guest, I truly believe she helped me change some negative patterns I found hard to shake in my own life. With the help of her book, I became more inspired and empowered than I've ever felt!
Gala is an author, speaker, teacher, and overall badass from New Zealand, though she currently resides in New York City. Gala's journey began much like any of our own, struggling with food and feeling unhappy and dissatisfied in her body. Through tapping (EFT), Gala was able to cure herself of her eating disorder, and move forward to make ripples in the way others feel and care about themselves. She has since created numerous courses and methods to helping women take care of themselves, aiding them with tools they can implement and change their lives for good!
I'm sure you heard me preach about her book Radical Self-Love a few months ago, and I cannot wait to share all of the incredible and juicy bits of inspiration she gives us in this podcast episode. In fact, I think I should just refuse to go any further with this description...
I'm also thrilled to announce the sponsor for this week's episode is Sun Basket! Need a quick, healthy, and easy way to take care of yourself on busy weeknights? Sun Basket is an incredible whole-foods based meal service with paleo, vegetarian, and gluten free options! Personally, we are OBSESSED. IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM YOUR $30 OFF DISCOUNT, CLICK HERE! I am an affiliate for the brand, but I wouldn't bring you any product I wasn't passionate about. The Wilder Podcast | Episode #10 | Ellie Dinh
Oct 21, 2016
So, as some of you may have noticed, I've posted several times about my love for my brand new free leggings from Girlfriend Collective -- a sustainable, fair-trade brand which is offering women a chance to try out their product for just the cost of shipping. Literally, all you have to do is pay $20 shipping and share the word with your friends via Facebook to get your own personal pair of these luxury boutique leggings.
Ellie and her husband Quang. Are they not a power couple?!! Amazing. Source: instagram.com/elliedinh
Welllll, I had the honor of speaking with one of the founders and the Creative Director of the brand, Ellie Dinh, on this week's podcast episode! Ellie explains how the brand came to be, and gives us some unique insight on working side-by-side with her husband, Quang, whom she founded the company with. With the help of several other masterminds, the couple was able to bring Girlfriend to life and make these free leggings available to the masses.
If you haven't yet gotten your pair, you can head on over to their website, or take a listen first to see what they're all about! I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed!

Sigh. I'm still drifting on a cloud after this morning's interview with Amanda Gyuran, aka my new best friend. I think that regardless of where you stand with your relationship with exercise, you're about to have your mind BLOWN by this podcast episode.
Amanda Gyuran is a certified Eating Psychology Coach and Pilates Instructor who helps women transform their relationship with food and fitness. Clients learn to ditch the diets, restriction, and self-sabotage while finding pleasure in all areas of life. Amanda works with women worldwide to create personalized mind body nutrition programs that focus on body acceptance, all while achieving and setting goals in a loving, nourishing way.
After moving to Manhattan to pursue a career as a fashion designer at the early age of 18, Amanda began consuming the message of rail-thin perfectionism as the ideal look of her chosen industry -- resulting in a bout of exercise addiction and loss of interest in her art all together. She began pursuing health coaching, eating psychology, and through working with her own coach, she was able to rebuild and restore her relationship with her body and movement. She inspires women everyday with daily inspiration via her Instagram captions, or one-on-one with her life-changing coaching programs.
I'm not going to spoil of of the juicy shizz we cover in this episode, because I want you to listen to the entire thing and soak it all in! You're absolutely going to want to listen to this every day, or possibly take notes to read and affirm just how incredible your body already is.
In this episode, we also briefly talk about my decision to re-incorporate eggs and now sprouted wheat into my diet (after three years living gluten-free). That being said, if this is something you've been wanting to do as well, Amanda gives some excellent tips for taking it slow and moving forward in the powerful experimentation that is listening to our bodies.
Pretty delicious, huh?! ;)

The Wilder Podcast | Episode #8 | Maddy Moon
Sep 21, 2016
Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with this week's guest. To say she's changed my life would be an understatement, seeing as she's one of the main reasons I started the Wilder Podcast in the first place! Can you guess who I'm talking about?!
Over the past few years, Maddy Moon has impacted thousands of women through her Mind Body Musings podcast, private coaching, books, courses, retreats, videos, blog posts, and more. She's traveled the world, interviewed countless influential and inspiring guests, and made a career for herself by pursuing her passions.
Obviously, this lifestyle didn't happen overnight! In this podcast, Maddy lets you in on some pivotal tips that transformed her life and her relationship with money, her business, the way she stays grateful, and more.
SOURCE: madelynmoon.com
Though I initially discovered Maddy through her work with eating disorders and developing a healthy relationship with your body, I've loved the recent shift she's made to her brand. She's diving deeper into the reasons we use, abuse, push, pull, grasp, reach, soothe ourselves, substances, and partners. She's getting into the real shit and drawing inspiration from many different realms and walks of life.
Dont just take my word for it! Check it this episode and be looking for my episode on HER podcast soon!

Hey, everyone! So, I mentioned on Instagram that I was taking questions for a Q&A-style podcast episode, and this is the result! I ended up just choosing and focusing on two questions.
One being: What are the pros and cons of getting married young? What obstacles did you face? What was the resistance from your family if any? How did you deal with that? Any advice?
#2: How do you stay motivated?
These are two questions I could probably speak on in depth for hours, but I kept this a little tame. Please know that these are just my experiences and personal views on these subjects. I know that some of what I'm speaking on in this episode is controversial and you may not agree with my stance, but that's totally fine. I'm TOTALLY fine with that.
There isn't really much to put in the show notes other than the book I mentioned by Gala Darling, which you can find here.
Love you all so much! Let me know what you think of this episode!
xoxo

The Wilder Podcast | Episode #6 | Jessica Murnane
Aug 30, 2016
I think I can successfully say I fully geeked out during this interview. Much like the last episode with Katie Dalebout, I've been obsessing over this week's guest's work for a bit now, and I think this conversation was loaded with juicy stuff.
You know who I'm talking about. Yeah. I'm talking about the woman wellness weirdo, Jessica Murnane.
Some of you may remember a few months ago I shared a blog post listing off my current favorite podcasts, and you may remember a specifically incredible one called the One Part Podcast by Jessica Murnane. If you missed that post and haven't gotten into her pod, now's your chance to learn more about her before you dive in! Already stay plugged into Jessica's work? Then you're definitely going to love this discussion we had regarding everything from body image and endometriosis, to some shit that's been going down in the world and why we should raise our voices.
Jessica's blog, One Part Plant stems from the concept that every single one of us can benefit from making even the smallest shifts toward a plant-based lifestyle. In her case, she's found that eating plant-based has helped reduce her symptoms from stage IV endometriosis, and though she recognizes that everyone is different, I think we both can agree that there are seemingly infinite benefits to incorporating more plants into your diet.
Lucky for us, Jessica is sharing even more of her scrumptious and creative (yet simple) plant-based recipes in her upcoming cookbook, which she speaks a lot about in this episode! Yay!
Personally, I've been drawn to Jessica's story since last May. I was curled up on my couch with tears streaking my face and a smoldering heating pad smushed against my pelvis as I desperately Googled "foods for endometriosis pain and balancing hormones". As I share in this podcast episode, I continued to her site where I found Laura Miller of Raw. Vegan. Not. Gross smiling back at me. One of my favorite food bloggers! Froobs! I was instantly hooked.
I don't want to overwhelm you with a lengthy introduction, because I absolutely want you to jump right into this episode and become mildly to moderately obsessed with Jessica.
The Wilder Podcast | Episode #5 | Katie Dalebout
Aug 17, 2016
You guys...
Katie Dalebout
Well, I don't even know where to start with this episode. I guess I could start by explaining how deeply my girl crush for this week's guest runs. Katie Dalebout is an author, podcast host, beautiful human, and claims she's not an expert at anything but that she's simply an enthusiast of a bunch of things --- so, I suppose you can imagine it's a little tricky to pinpoint who she is in just a few words.
As I mention to Katie in this episode, she may not know it but I've spent at least 50 hours at her side, going on walks and cooking as she interviews dozens of talented and inspiring women through my headphones. I genuinely had a hard time even asking her the right questions for those of you who've never heard of her! I definitely encourage you subscribe and take a listen to her podcast. I was just listening to her #117th episode, so you have a ton of material to dive into!

This year, she published her first book Let it Out: A Journey Through Journaling which is an amazing tool she's created to simplify and demystify the ominous practice of journaling, making its well-touted ability to impact your self-growth much easier. I'm no mega-journaler, so this in an excellent opportunity for me to incorporate some serious shifts in my nightly practice. Hell, I might even take her word for it and start different journals for different topics! Who knows.
I'm not going to say too much on here, because I don't really like to take up too much of your time you could be spending listening to our conversation, but I will inform you that this is the longest podcast episode I've done so far. I'm trying to keep things within an hour, but this episode was just too delicious and packed with incredible things to edit anything out. You just get it all.
I also had a shit-load of questions prepared for Katie, but I didn't really use them. This was an unscripted piece of magic that really left me feeling wickedly refreshed. We even had a few moments of the record that really shook things up for me. She's just so breathtakingly inspiring and understanding of a few not-so-awesome things I've been dealing with that I don't share with the world-wide-web.
We also mention another one of my fav podcasts (that I've currently exhausted and listened to every. single. episode. since finding it back in February! This, of course, is Christy Harrison's Food Psyche podcast.
Don't forget you can donate to the pod so I can keep it afloat in my free time! It means so much and I can keep providing you with this juicy and incredible material!
The Wilder Podcast | Episode #3 | Sherri DuPree-Bemis
Aug 01, 2016
Hey, everyone! Um, it's August. Is this a joke?
So many amazing things are taking place this year so far, and I can't believe I'm saying this but...the year is basically over. Well, not really.
I'm so stoked to share with you some exclusive insight into the amazing life of my sister-in-law, Sherri DuPree-Bemis. She's not only an insanely talented musician for the band Eisley, but she's also a passionate mother, hilarious wife, and overall badass human. In this podcast, Sherri and I dive deep into her relationship with sleep, anxiety, tour life, and much more, including what's in store for Eisley this year!
Don't know much about Sherri? Know a lot and can't get enough? Tune in for this overall incredible episode with such a talented and grounded woman in a competitive and curious field of music and art.
Hey, everyone! I'm so stoked to announce the first guest on the podcast is Jyssica Yelas of the Style Opal!
Jyssica Yelas is a fashion stylist, blogger, and social media consultant based in Portland, OR. Having been raised in East Texas with Hawaiian and Oregonian roots, she moved to Portland after graduating from Oregon State University to pursue her passions.
Initially inspired by an opal ring at a market in Florence, Italy, Jyssica started The Style Opal in 2014 to celebrate what she believes makes up personal style: a reflection of the experiences, interactions and travels of the individual. The color play of an opal reflects every color of the rainbow, just as personal style is not confined to one approach, but can reflect any every angle of a person and their passions or moods.
In this episode, we got really conversational. Please excuse and embrace the conversational likes, ums, you knows, etc. that occur during this episode. I'll be better about speaking more clearly in the future! It's also an episode with some f-bombs and other swear words, so if listening around little ones, throw on some headphones!
In addition to discussing Jyssica's journey from cheerleading teen to boho-chic lifestyle maven, we also touched on a few social and cultural issues that might make you uncomfortable. Sit in the discomfort and see if you agree with what we're talking about!
Donate to the pod! I love curating this content and taking the time to edit, record, interview, you name it! Even just a dollar an episode helps a ton! :)
