With newlywedded bliss nowhere in sight, we’ll be taking the carriage alone to visit Pen’s mother and Walter Dundas Esq. before swinging by Bridgerton House to console a grumpy husband with an unfortunately timed hero complex.

And while one marriage might be on the rocks, it won’t stop us from grabbing our confetti and bagpipes as we walk Fran down the carpet to join John in holy (and probably temporary) matrimony. ‘Till death do you part, Frohn.

But hold your dying breath, dearest listeners. A gossip writer has been exposed and a blackmail plot is underway. Best get the chequebook out, Pen. That ticket to Vienna won’t pay for itself.

Rakes of the ton, beware – Violet Bridgerton is on the warpath.

Join us as we raise our kites in honour of the Benophie New Year and celebrate the long-awaited arrival of the Season 4 Part 1 trailer.

With our maid pinafores freshly starched for the year ahead, we’ll be taking a trip downstairs where we'll find Sophie a good costume for one glorious night and grab the mop and bucket to clean up the aftermath of an alphabetic shaving cream fight.

Across the square, we’ll also be helping Penelope tie a mask on a pirate’s mast before we sneak into a ballroom with Hy, waltz in the bandstand and impatiently await a midnight unmasking. And if we see a rocking Featherington carriage thereafter? Well, life is meant to be lived, dear listeners.

Later, we’ll be joining Benedict for an artistic retreat in the country where a chance encounter will lead to a time slip, a hidden necklace and a naked rake dripping in a lake.

Should this scandalous acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind? Perhaps an offer from a gentleman might free him from a bind.

Yep, we’re swapping boughs of holly for bouquets of larkspur as Penelope and Colin finally nod their way down the aisle in Part 2 of our S3E7 rewatch.

Following a late night of secret dealings, marriage counselling and a little horsing around, we’ll be wiping the dust from our eyes and taking our seats next to a gaggle of redheads for the nuptials of the season.

Once we’ve joined Pen and Colin in holy matrimony, we’ll be admiring swan cakes and chasing jelly moulds before a royal gatecrasher puts our wedding night plans in peril. Let’s hope that sofa’s comfy, Colin.

But if things are looking a little bleak for our newlyweds, then worry not. If we take a peek beneath the Christmas tree, we might just catch a glimpse of the happy couple kissing underneath the mistletoe.

With a secret out in the open and an engagement up in the air, we have our social calendar full this week as we begin our rewatch of S3E7 Joining of Hands.

As we plan the most elaborate wedding breakfast of the season, we’ll be checking the diaries of the Smythe-Smith quintet, finding a hair tie for a heartbroken ponytail and taking a trip across town to check the marital status of an old friend.

Elsewhere, we’ll be eavesdropping on a staircase confrontation between an uncommonly lucky Eloise and a commonly entrapped Colin, before baiting our nets to catch a sad little rainbow fish over at Featherington House.

We'll be chaperoning with Portia, matchmaking with widows and making an announcement of an announcement with a newly-betrothed Frohn. Elsewhere, Minster Hughes will be taking us to church for a reading of the banns, a Creloise break-up and an impromptu loved-up waltz. Seems like Sunday service is the perfect time for confession. As we discover that ladies do not have dreams and Wills do not have bars, we'll be burning our life's work with Pen and burning the midnight with Colin and his...implements. And with the scribe herself ready for her big entrance, we'll be heading to the Mondriches for the revelation of the Season's greatest secret: a giant flowery Dalek.

With a viper on the loose and a fiancé on our tails, we'll be grabbing our pens and carriages for a late night dash to the printers. But has anyone been keeping an eye on Colin?

To celebrate the unmasking of the Season 4 release dates, we’ll be tipping our gloves to the Dutch, hiking with the ducks and grabbing our baskets for a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt.*

After drinking that brown liquor with a Bridgerton father figure, we’ll also be stopping by Romney Hall to scatter a few seeds with the Collector and search for a Lady in Silver standing amongst the roses. And if we happen to have a little Spare time on our hands? Well, perhaps we’ll borrow a Baronet’s tools to do a spot of raking around.

Episode 70 - What a Curious Piece of News! [S3E5 Rewatch, Part 1] Jun 29, 2025

No furtive looks necessary, dearest listener. Our S3E5 Part 1 rewatch is not a thunderbolt from the sky.

With a newly engaged Polin busy announcing their happy news, it seems we have much to catch up on indeed. We’re in high spirits, despite the one Bridgerton sibling who’s even less thrilled about it than Eloise.

As word of the betrothal spreads through the ton, we’ll be shouting for all of Mayfair to hear as we fry fish with Anthony, take a morning stroll with Benedict and buffer up the bee on Colin’s belt.

Is there more? Oh, so much more.

After a showdown between Catherine the Great and the neighbour boy, we’ll be heading to an opera singer’s residence to pull down the dust sheets, lay out our furnishings and turn our two blue pools towards a conspicuously placed looking glass.

Happy anniversary, dearest listeners!

Join us as we raise a catch and toast to Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1 and reminisce over twelve splendid months of flyaway balloons, scandalous journals and the most remarkable shade of blue.

We’ll be taking a celebratory carriage ride to the library to meet with a Regency king, a rugged pair of boots and a very tingly Lady Whistledown. And as Portia teaches a little lesson in self-love, we’ll be lending Colin a hand in catching an authoress in an unexpected corner.

With the champagne still flowing, we’ll be moving the afterparty over to Bridgerton House for a chandelier rendezvous with Sibling Number Two and a rather enchanted Lady in Silver.

And so, as we begin the next part of our journey, let us cheers once more to the match of the season, and the oldest of friends!
