Marcellus is a long time LA Clippers fan and used to co-host SportsNation on ESPN.     Sean Nye is a Professor of Musicology at the University of Southern California. He teaches courses on music, and popular culture, including featured courses on electronic dance music & culture. His research mainly deals in German and sound studies, techno music, Berlin and Modeselektor. Sean has a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies in Discourse and Society from the University of Minnesota. In this episode, we spoke about his course in dance music and how he approaches teaching, studying in the city of Berlin, Kraftwerk, rave music, Modeselektor, and much more.

    Andrew Barton is a Professor at UC San Diego and Scripps. He is also a Marine Ecologist. Andrew received his Ph.D. in Climate Physics and Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011. His research focuses on understanding a critical, but individually tiny, component of life on Earth: plankton. Furthermore, his research focuses on how climate change impacts marine life and the ocean. In this episode, we speak about how changes in the climate have affected the ocean, coral and the great barrier reef, how sea level rise and coastal cities are being affected by ecological and economic impacts and much more.

    Josh Wink is a seminal DJ and dance music artist. He pioneered the American rave scene during the early to mid 90s with hits like "Higher States of Consciousness" and "Don't Laugh." The Philadelphia based artist is synonymous with the genre of acid house, and has an affinity for the TB303. He also runs the iconic dance music record label Ovum Recordings and has toured the globe for 30 years. Josh Wink remixes include Radiohead, The Gorillaz, Depeche Mode and a plethora of others. In this episode, we speak about hit records and the difficulty of achieving that in today's market, his upcoming side project and his record label Ovum Recordings, buying a TB303 for under $100, Loveparade 1996, flying to the states with U2 in 1997, "higher states of consciousness" plus much more.
