They discuss the attraction’s atmosphere, Hawkes’s early performance and the film’s unsettling turns. This Do You Even Movie? conversation includes full spoilers for the 1991 film and its ending.

    Show notes

Ohio’s Grassman legend brings Bigfoot close to home. Terrifying & True explores reported encounters around Salt Fork State Park, Hocking Hills and the Appalachian foothills, where witnesses describe towering figures, strange calls and oversized footprints. Henrique Couto follows the stories, the search for evidence and the communities built around the possibility of a creature in the woods. Sightings and ambiguous traces are treated as claims, not proof of an undiscovered animal. A long-form look at Sasquatch lore, local fear and the pull of Ohio’s forests.

The Strickfield Slasher: A Cursed VHS Brings a Forgotten Killer to Life Oct 10, 2024
    Show notes

A rare VHS copy of “The Strickfield Slasher” looks like the perfect Halloween movie-night discovery. Its history leads back to a 1971 student production at Grimm Manor—and an actor who took his role much too far. When Briana and her friends press play, the danger refuses to stay inside the screen. Rob Fields’s haunted-media horror story turns a lost slasher film into a threat to its new audience. The tape may be old, but the cleaver-wielding figure on it has unfinished business with anyone willing to watch.
