The Purple People aka Lafayette Morehouse is a controversial group that has been labeled a sex cult. They live in purple houses, wear purple clothes, and drive purple limos. Its members teach sexual practices and techniques, but some say the group uses coercion and mind control to keep members from the outside world. They reportedly have ties to One Taste, an alleged pyramid scheme that offers "orgasmic meditation" for women. Some former members say the business resembles a prostitution ring, luring in emotionally vulnerable targets who go deep into debt paying for courses.
