Amazing Race Canada: Season 12 Ep 3 Recap
Also available on YouTube.
Jessica Liese and Dan Heaton break down all the action from The Amazing Race Canada, Season 12, Episode 3. This episode takes teams from the historic Stampede Grounds in Calgary, Alberta, onto the scenic Rocky Mountaineer train, where a cleverly placed surprise roadblock shakes up the game. As alliances and rivalries take shape, Jessica and Dan examine how contestants handle new twists, shifting team dynamics, and the pressure of unexpected challenges.
The journey begins with a classic calf scramble, where fears, like Nova's aversion to cow dung, bring some light-hearted moments. The conversation then zeroes in on the secret train roadblock, a memorable twist that puts teams’ observation skills to the test and ultimately leads to a crucial elimination. The hosts analyze how failing this task hamstrings a team for the rest of the leg and discuss whether the punishment fits the mistake. The detour at Jasper highlights stories of wildfire recovery and community, but much of the drama unfolds when the double pass comes into play, sparking frustration, strategy talk, and some epic bleeped-out reactions. With Express Passes still in the mix and an intersection looming, Jessica and Dan weigh the next big moves and the potential ripple effects on the competition.
