    We Are More Than Moms

Forget perfect parenting—this is the podcast moms actually want. These episodes feel like a late-night kitchen-table chat with your best friend: real, warm, and a little messy.

Each week, Annabel Lawee and Dale Stabler share unfiltered stories and host honest conversations about what motherhood really feels like—identity shifts, career pivots, mental health struggles, mom guilt, and the vulnerable truths that rarely make the highlight reel.

We’re not experts, nor will we ever pretend to be—just two mom best friends riding the rollercoaster right alongside you and creating a space where you feel seen, inspired, and never alone.

“My Kid Is the Only One Losing their Shit” Jan 08, 2026
    Show notes

If you’ve ever been in the middle of a grocery store, restaurant, playground, or sidewalk meltdown and thought, why is my kid the only one losing it right now? this episode is for you.

We’re talking all things toddler meltdowns: the public ones, the exhausting ones, the ones that make you question everything you’re doing as a parent. We unpack why it feels like everyone else’s kids are calm and well-behaved (spoiler: they’re not), and how isolating it can be when you only see the highlight reels of parenting—both in real life and online.

We share how we handle meltdowns in real time: what’s worked, what hasn’t, and how our approach has changed with experience. No expert scripts or perfect parenting, just honest conversation, lived experience, and practical tips to help you feel less alone.

If you’re in the thick of toddlerhood and feeling alone, overwhelmed, or convinced your child is “the only one,” this conversation is your reminder: you’re not failing, you’re not alone, and this season won’t last forever.

The Toddler Episode Every Parent Needs: Meltdowns, Big Feelings & Real-Life Scripts Dec 25, 2025
    Show notes

If you’re in the thick of toddler life — the constant “no’s,” the hitting and biting, the screaming, refusing dinner or bath, rough transitions, and meltdown-after-meltdown — this episode is your new survival guide. We’re joined by Devon Kuntzman, toddler expert, parent coach, and founder of Transforming Toddlerhood, who specializes in helping parents navigate these exact moments with confidence and calm.

Devon breaks down what’s normal, what’s developmentally appropriate, and gives you practical scripts for what to actually do in the moment. Annabel and Dale open up about their latest toddler meltdowns and struggles — the real, messy, everyday moments parents don’t always talk about — and Devon walks them through exactly how to handle each one.

From big feelings and “why don’t they listen?” to staying calm during public meltdowns and the scripts that truly help, Devon makes sense of the chaos with tools you can use immediately. This is the episode every toddler parent needs.

    “I booked a Boob Job” Dec 18, 2025
    Show notes

In today’s episode, Dale opens up about something deeply personal, intentional, and years in the making: her upcoming breast augmentation in the new year. This isn’t a beauty-decision story; it’s an honesty story, a coming-home-to-yourself story, and a conversation about doing something for you after years of your body being in service to pregnancy, breastfeeding, motherhood, and everyone else’s needs. Dale shares why she chose to move forward now, how she knew she was truly ready, and the clarity she needed around whether or not she was done having kids. She talks about what it was like to tell her husband, how she brought him into the process, and how she approached telling her parents. She also explains why she decided to be transparent on social media and how sharing her truth was core to her.

Dale walks through her entire process of finding the right doctor, from the research to the consultations to choosing the surgeon who felt aligned, and she opens up about the financial side as well, including what she’s paying and the considerations behind that decision. This episode is raw, grounded, and meant to take the shame and secrecy out of a topic so many women quietly think about. It’s a reminder that you are more than a mom and you’re allowed to make choices that honor the woman inside the mother.

    “I didn’t think I wanted kids” with Holly Owens Dec 04, 2025
    Show notes

This week, we sit down with Holly Owens (aka @wellthybelly) for an open and intentional conversation about the decision to become a mom, andnow her journey of becoming one after years of navigating health issues and healing from Lyme disease.

Holly shares what it looked like to move through one of the most personal choices a woman can make: whether or not to have children, and how she found clarity through tuning inward, faith, and trust in her body rather than pressure or expectation. We talk about the societal noise around motherhood, building a birth team that truly supports you, how she’s preparing her mind and body for this next chapter, and what her care and recovery plan look like postpartum.

This episode is an honest, grounded reminder that motherhood isn’t a box to check, but a choice to step into with intention. Whether you’re preparing for motherhood, sitting on the fence, or already in it - this conversation is for you.

Two Kids Later… and We Have Thoughts 😅 Nov 27, 2025
    Show notes

Now that we each have two “toddlers”… our tune has changed a little. This week we’re breaking down the real transition from one to two kids — the good, the hard, the logistical circus, and the surprising parts no one prepares you for. We’re talking: Is 0→1 easier, or is 1→2 the real plot twist? And knowing what we know now… would we have a third? 👀👀👀

    We get into:

    • The actual tangible workload of two kids vs. one
    • The mental gymnastics + invisible logistics no one talks about
    • Why the comparison, pressure, and noise drop with baby #2
    • How 1→2 shifts marriage + husband dynamics
    • What’s gotten easier, and what’s definitely harder
    • And all the messy, beautiful, chaotic in-between moment

If you’re pregnant with your second, already in the trenches with two, or debating another… this is the episode we wish we had heard.

The Screen Time Conversation: Mom Guilt & Intentional Use Nov 13, 2025
    Show notes

We’ve been told screens are bad, that too much time in front of them will ruin our kids… cue the mom guilt. But the truth? It’s more complicated than that.

In this episode, we’re getting real about how we use screen time — the messy “balance” we’re all trying to find — and how to make it work for our families instead of against us. We talk about living in a tech-heavy world, being part of the last generation (hey, millennials!) who grew up both with and without screens, and now raising kids who’ve never known life any other way. From iPads to TV to FaceTiming family, we dive into the uses, the judgment, the guilt, and how to give ourselves permission to use technology with intention, purpose, and peace.

All About Birth with Celebrity Doula Lori Bregman Nov 06, 2025
    Show notes

We sit down with acclaimed celebrity doula Lori Bregman to demystify what a doula really does: from pregnancy to birth—and how that support can calm fear and build confidence. Lori shares how she partners with doctors and midwives, helps families navigate hospital systems, and counters the fear-mongering messages that often surround birth. She offers grounded guidance and spiritual tools for staying flexible when plans change and for letting go of control.

In this heartfelt episode, Annabel opens up through tears about her own raw birth experience—the unexpected C-section that left her battling shame and the social-media glamorization of “perfect” births. A must-listen for any mama curious about doulas, birth choices, and entering motherhood with more trust and less fear.
