    Welcome to the WATERSPOUT podcast! The St. Johns River Water Management District created WATERSPOUT as a way to let you hear directly from us about Florida’s water resources. You’ll hear from our staff members about the work they do each day and how that work benefits our shared water resources. We’ll delve into important topics affecting our region’s water, what the District is doing and what you can do to help preserve and protect water.

    Joining us this episode of WATERSPOUT is Jeff Prather to talk about the District’s division of Regulatory Services. The division is responsible for implementing the District’s consumptive use and environmental resource permitting programs. This division encompasses the Bureau of Water Use Regulation, which is responsible for water use permitting, water well construction permitting, water well contractor licensing, compliance, and enforcement, and the Bureau of Environmental Resource Regulation, which is responsible for environmental resource permitting, administration compliance, and enforcement.
