Welcome to Ep 7 of the Warts 'n' All podcast. This is a new element, The Warts 'n' All History Club, where we get to chat to like minded history peeps about whatever they love, be it movies, books, podcasts, fiction, non-fiction, you name it. No stuffiness here, we're just having fun.
Before I get into chat about this episode can I first give a shout out, a wave, a big thanks to my patreon supporters, especially Kathryn, Leslie, Kylie and now April Eudy. I really appreciate your support and now we are going again, I plan to send regular updates about the book and the podcast your way.
I was so thrilled to be able to chat to Melissa Ratliff for a new element of the Warts 'n' All podcast, the Warts 'n' All history club. We talked about getting into Titanic, the movies, the characters, the real people and the haunting moments when the calls for help stopped being broadcast. It was such a pleasure to listen to her. Enthusiasm is infectious and it was a treat to hear her enthusiasm.
I aksed Melissa what she would bring along to a party if we could all get together. She told us about one of her favourite podcasts called The Dollop, and also the book on Lightoller: Lights, The Odyssey of CH Lightoller by Patrick Stenson, renamed Titanic Voyager when Titanic the film was released in 1997.
You can hear Melissa's podcast God's Favorites, a history podcast on the big podcast outlets and you can find her telling us shorter history snippets @melissafairlady on TikTok and over on YouTube.
