    Episode 120: OK Boomer Nov 11, 2019
    Show notes

The whole crew is here to bring you the news from the week. Terry Bogard is in Smash, and he just released. He plays similar to Ryu, but with his own flavor. He has a new stage with 50 music tracks and cameos from a ton of characters from the Fatal Fury franchise. But, Mai is missing. Why? Because Smash is a game for good boys and girls of all ages. People are playing Death Stranding now. We've seen some of it, and it may be the strangest game that's ever been made. CouRage, a Twitch streamer with over 2 million followers, moved to YouTube. It's yet another big streamer changing platforms. How many more will do that, and what does it mean? Keanu Reeves is so into Cyberpunk 2077 that he requested to be in the game more, and they gave it to him. With that and Death Stranding's actor involvements, what's next for actors and video games? The final Pokemon list for Sword and Shield seems to have been leaked. About half of the pokemon are missing, and almost no one is happy about it. Did they handle the situation in the best way? "OK Boomer" is a fairly recent phrase that's come up. It's a way for one generation to dismiss another, and it's making some people a bit hot under the collar. Maybe they shouldn't be such snowflakes. It's only words, right? FaZe Jarvis has a lifetime ban from Fortnite for using an aimbot and posting videos about it on YouTube. He's 17, so technically a minor. Does that mean they should go easy on him? Ninja thinks so. We're a bit torn about it. WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 119: Did Steam Slay Origin? Nov 04, 2019
    Show notes

GrandPooBear is back with Jaku and Xwater to bring you the news. While it's not directly gaming related, NCAA athletes can now take paid endorsements. It might not seem like a big deal, but Poo has some insight on it. Shigeru Miyamoto was given the Person of Cultural Merit award. His accomplishments are being acknowledged by the Japanese government, and we think he completely deserves it. Reviews for Death Stranding are out. It's either the best game ever made and a masterpiece, or the worst piece of hot garbage ever. What's the truth? You'll have to play 100+ hours to find out. Luigi's Mansion 3 is out. It's a lot of fun, but nothing groundbreaking. If you liked the other's in the series, you'll like this one though. Origin is EA's digital platform for their games. But, they're starting to release their games on Steam too. What does that mean for Origin? BlizzCon has happened. On day one they issued an apology, that wasn't really a very good one. They announced the next expansion for WoW. They showed some videos on Diablo 4. Overwatch is getting a sequel. Warcraft is getting a new game. Warcraft 4? No. Warcraft 3: Reforged, a remake of Warcraft 3. Is this enough to bring them back to the top of their game? We have a Hot Take on Fallout 76. There's a new subscription service. For $13 you can get access to private servers, but also some benefits that makes you better in game. The player base has risen up. The subscribers are stronger, but the free to players out number them. It's like a Fallout civil war. Is this good, bad, or just funny? WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 118: Shroud Follows Ninja To Mixer Oct 28, 2019
    Show notes

Jaku and Xwater are back with the news this week. Nord VPN was "hacked," and Jaku talks about it. Use a VPN, and have a spare. Listen to the Jaku! Ubisoft is suing a cheat maker for Rainbow 6 Siege. If you're going to cheat in a game, it's ok, as long as it's consensual with all of the players. Don't be a jerk! Last of Us 2 was delayed. A bad game released early will never be good. A game can be good if you give it enough time. We would rather have the best game possible, even if it takes some time. Death Stranding has Conan O'brian. Does that matter? Is it awesome? Is the game going to be good? What even is it? Outer Worlds just came out, and they have something interesting. Twitch Plays Outer Worlds. Maybe the next time, we can get Crowd Control into a new game. Hit us up Devs. Rise of the Slime came out, it's a deckbuilding game similar to Slay the Spire. Jaku is interested, and you might be too. Slimes rock! Shroud is jumping to Mixer, and TheMexicanRunner is going to Facebook. What? That takes us to our Hot Take. Will poaching of streamers effect Twitch? Competition is nearly always a good thing. This can only help streamers. WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 117: Pokememe Long Cat Oct 21, 2019
    Show notes

This week we have Jaku and Xwater bringing you the news. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Randomizer WITH Crowd Control? That seems too good to be true, but it's not. SOGAeon streamed it on Twitch this week. Follow him and check out the vod. Project Adventure is here with the Screamies. Check out their Twitch channel, where they do a live viewer interactive show. You won't want to miss it. Game Freak's newest game Little Town Hero came out. You don't catch monsters to store in your pockets, and you don't even leave your town. Pokemon's new evolution, Gigantamax, was revealed, giving Charizard yet another form. But, more importantly, Meoth is now a Long Cat. They are embracing the memes. Wargroove got new FreeLC. Free downloadable content for multiplayer co-op. Will more games be doing this? Fortnite has got a new map, and it's back to the basics. How are they going to improve over chapter 1? Riot Games has something new. A documentary, a lore book, a charity, an esports manager, an animated series, a card game, an FPS, a fighting game, and a Diablo style action RPG. What won't they have? Time to spend all of the money they'll be making. The Analogue Pocket is coming out next year. What is it? A new way to play handheld games. Gameboy, GBA, Game Gear, you name it. XSplit Gamecaster V4 free trial is out. It's not free, and it's not significantly better than OBS, but it's trying to be. Are they too late to be trying all of these things, or is it good to have competition in everything? WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 116: Fortnite Blew It ALL Up! Oct 14, 2019
    Show notes

This week there were back to back east coast Speedrun Sessions. Poo and Jaku are here to talk about it. Xwater will be back next week. A Hearthstone Streamer won an event, but also made a stand about Hong Kong on stream. Blizzard took their prize money and banned them, and the commentators. They've given the money back, and shortened the bans, but how bad did it hurt them in the meantime? Killer Queen Black is out! It may not be quite the same as the arcade, but it's fun and addictive. Fortnite blew up their map. What's happening next? What's up with Fortnite bots? Steam is going to be letting you play local multiplayer games online with your friends. This is huge because it opens up a lot of games to everyone. We have a Hot Take about the PS5. Sony is announcing details for it, and people are getting excited. The question is, do we even need it? Is the PS4 holding us back? But maybe most importantly, how much will it be? WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 115: Blink 182 Vs Ninja Oct 07, 2019
    Show notes

This week, we're down one bear, but we're up one juicy Hot Take. Super Mario Maker 2 got an update. Online multiplayer with your friends is so much easier now. There were some smaller changes, but the extent isn't even really fully known yet. Sony is finally getting Crossplay available to the masses. It's getting harder to pick between consoles now. Untitled Goose Game is awesome, and it was beating Link's Awakening in sales on the Switch. If you haven't played it yet, go now! We end with a Hot Take from TwitchCon. Blink 182 came on stage and said "F Mixer!" Were they pandering to the crowd, or were they calling out Ninja? It's not too difficult to figure it out. WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 114: TwitchCon 2019 Sep 30, 2019
    Show notes

This week we took over TwitchCon 2019. Someone copied our booth from last year, but that's ok, we were one step ahead of them. We give you the low down of what's been happening there. We also have a Hot Take on the Twitch Partner Party. Someone complained about two things. One, it's not quiet. Well, it's a party. Parties aren't quiet. However, Two, the drink situation was pretty bad. Drinks were left uncovered, and in the open, so they were pretty unsafe. You've got to do better than that, Twitch. WE NOW HAVE A PATREON! Episode 113: No Vid No Did Sep 23, 2019
    Show notes

The boys are back, and back home, here to give you the news. Starting with TwitchCon, they'll be there. Check out the Warp World booth, and Poo's meet and greet on Friday morning. The Link's Awakening remake is out. It's fantastic, and there's a bunch of other great games out, and coming soon on the switch, including Untitled Goose Game. Sega dropped the Genesis Mini this week. It didn't seem to make much of a splash. This isn't the first time they've released a collection of games like this before though. Are people just over Sega? France's courts ruled that Steam must allow for digital game resale on their platform. They are appealing, but what happens if they lose? This could have a rippling effect on video games as we know it. We have a Hot Take about DJNintendo. He claims to have "unofficially" gotten multiple world records in four different Mario games, but has no proof. Why say it if it's not true? More importantly, why say it even if it is true? Anyone can say they've done anything, but on the internet you must subscribe to the old adage, "No Vid, No Did" WE NOW HAVE A PATREON!
