Episode 191 is an appeal to Christians regarding President-Elect Donald Trump. This appeal consists of 5 things.
1. We will pray for President-elect Trump, elected officials, our nation, our churches, and each other.
2. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus and the prophets, we will tell the truth about the world around us, and we will speak up for those who have been marginalized and taken advantage of.
3. We will actively resist the temptation to overlook or normalize values, speech, and behavior that are in conflict with what Scripture calls us to.
4. In the name of Jesus, we call President-elect Trump to repentance for dishonoring the image of God in others.
5. We will fix our eyes on Jesus and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, redouble our efforts to honor the image of God in all people and to love all our neighbors as ourselves.

The Christmas Club

Today we begin a new series on Praying with the church. This episode deals with Jewish Prayer Practices which Jesus and his disciples likely engaged in. I hope you will join in on these prayer practices as we intentionally seek to make every moment a sacred moment.

Podcast 186: The Sermons of Karl Barth part 4 - An Advent Sermon
Ian Zumback is a singer and songwriter based out of Nashville Tennessee with an amazing new single making it's debut Friday November 18th. The single is called "Murderer a Messenger" and the accompanying documentary can be seen at the following link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp7aYTtyV74
At the heart of Ian's ministry through music is a desire to refresh and comfort others (Acts 3:19, 2 Cor.1:3-4); to build community through relationships (Acts 2:46); to point others to Jesus (John 3:30); to touch lives (Isaiah 61:4); and to be used to reconcile others to God through Christ (2 Cor. 5:20).
It's not a long podcast today but I wanted to at least address very briefly the election of 2016 and also to share a few announcements of things happening and things coming up.
