I know the last one was a bit of a quickie so i had to make it up to you guys!! the questions range from: "A Song that motivates you to a Song that reminds you of someone you'd rather forget" Nevertheless each question gave us some very "interesting" stories that you don't wanna hear. Did Ya Miss Me?? -- heck, i missed MYSELF :( I had to come back strong and this is a VERY special episode this week with none other than my guy "Bigg Von" super producer, manager, actor and CEO of "We Got Hits" Production. We got a chance to touch on a few of the many things he has his hands in including his team's contributions on Ice Cube's latest album "Everythangs Corrupt." With a pretty diverse and solid resume of artists he's worked with I had to inquire about his experiences with collaborating his sound with other artists. & of course hear his thoughts of the current state of rap/hip hop today vs back then. Now if you're following @iambiggvon you also know that he is always delivering powerful positive words of encouragement any chance he gets. To kick off this episode I asked him to speak on the 5 things he practices everyday which are: -Prayer -Faith -Dedication -Persistency -Consistency Make sure you subscribe and share with your friends. Don't forget to follow on IG @iambiggvon & @we_got_hits_productions as well as myself at @motorcityoprah/@viewsfromthethickpc ARTISTS PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR MUSIC TO ME VIA EMAIL AT VIEWSFROMTHETHICKPC@GMAIL.COM to be featured on an upcoming episode!! xoxo Chey

Hey Gang!! On this episode i got a chance to sit down with Huey Freshman, Ali & JRU of DopeDiv. I hit them with a slightly different #Chey5 of "If you had to add 2 more established artists to your group, who would it be??" they all had very UNIQUE answers lol In this interview, we had a chance to discuss: how they came about & what makes them work as a group and keeps them together. What was it that made you realize music was "it" for you?? Opening for Dom Kennedy Squeezed Cheese vs Sliced & most importantly breakdown their latest project "Coney Run" now available everywhere. This episode's intro is actually my favorite track "Champions". This whole project is so smooth start to finish and makes you just wanna hop in the car & cruise around. I'm telling y'all go listen to this you absolutely will NOT be disappointed. Follow the guys of @itsdopediv -- @dopediv_huey @dopediv_ali @dopediv_jru & download their newest project "Coney Run" available everywhere NOW.
BACK AGAIN .... On this episode i was joined by @itskevjordan aka Mr. Hennessy where we discuss various topics such as .... -Sweetest Day -NBA & the "Spit-Gate" incident. -Should I just (finally) give up on Melo?? :( :( - Can you love 2 people at the same time?? - The roles social media do/dont play in a relationship We also touched on a few other relationship topics including my surprisingly controversial tweet (which btw I had no idea ppl would actually think it was a bad idea) about me surprising my man and paying for his haircut directly to his barber. Fellas how would you feel if you went to pay for your cut and your girl wanted to do what she thought was a small sweet gesture had paid for it already?? so your barber says "oh don't worry about it my guy, your girl already covered you." Would you be appreciative or would your raise an eyebrow?? Anywho .... tune in to hear Kevin & I's viewpoints on these topics and MORE, & you know what makes it extra "spicy" ?? this is my ex lol .... YES you read that correctly, we dated back in HS and have been great friends every since. Hey Gang!! This week I'm joined by the always controversial @damegonewild & my bestfriend @italk_shxt and made our way through a very interesting R&B bracket that i found online. We tweaked it a bit as there were some acts that were left out & others well.... i flat out didn't know who the heck they were lol. There were other artists/groups that I noticed that were not included that i chose to keep out as well (ex R.Kelly. Nevertheless this was a great convo to have with these 2 (especially Dame cuz we know how much he loves R&B lol). Take a listen and feel free to hmu @motorcityoprah and let me know your thoughts on how it all went down. This week's music highlight was from my guy @GueringerTh13th titled "Pro$ Remix" featuring Kash Doll x Payroll Giovanni. Check his latest album "Clifford" out now and be sure to follow him on SoundCloud & YouTube.. As always, artists don't forget to submit your music to me via email at viewsfromthethickpc@gmail.com XOXO, MCO
Hey Gang, We're back for a new episode & this is a very SPECIAL episode!!!! I have my first musical guest .... the one & only @obarowland. The #Chey5 for this episode was "Dead or Alive, if you could feature 5 artists on an upcoming project who would they be?? I got a chance to chop it up with Oba about his latest album "Northland" and breakdown the inspiration behind this 26 song project. Along with how he preps for his shows, when did he realize he had a gift for rap?? his first performance experience, what does he think the issue is with Detroit artists going further than they currently are?? etc. However, most importantly i wanted to do a breakdown of some of the tracks off "Northland" and more specifically his track "Dreams." This song is an ode to a lot of beautiful ladies around the city of Detroit and Oba gives an in depth (no pun intended) description of what he would do if he had his chance with them. He even shouts out a familiar name that you all may know :) :) and I had to get to the bottom of things lol. ENJOY!!!! Follow Oba Rowland on all social media platforms @ObaRowland and download his latest project Northland NOW available everywhere!!!!
