BREAKING NEWS: Today, November 3, 2022, VA announced the results of the 2022 Point-in-Time Count revealing that Veteran homelessness declined by 11% since 2020. To help us understand what this means for Veterans experiencing homelessness and housing instability, we are joined by Kenneth Mueller, Senior Business Operations Specialist with the VHA Homeless Programs Office. Mr. Mueller walks us through what the PIT Count is, what the count tells us about the state of Veteran homelessness, and what VA is doing about it.

Ms. Santini talks about how CTRS got it start during the COVID-19 pandemic, how it draws from low-barrier principles to make shelter accessible, and why (in contrast to other programs with vacant beds) it always stays full.
