In this VETgirl veterinary continuing education podcast, we interview Dr. Andrew Heller and Dr. Maritza Goller at IndeVets on how to build a career around your life, not the other way around. Achieving professional success as a veterinarian does NOT have to mean compromising what matters to you personally. And it never should, no matter what age or life stage you’re in today, or that you’ll be in 20 years into your career. You heard that right, practicing great medicine as a veterinarian CAN be achieved alongside that seemingly elusive end game of work-life-balance. Life is not a straight line – priorities and responsibilities change. But our desire to practice good medicine remains the same. Does that mean we have to compromise quality to balance other priorities? Or change jobs as everything else changes? Not at IndeVets. Join us as we explore the importance of building your career in the right place. A place that creates a way for veterinarians to build their careers around their lives – not the other way around.
