    Very Random Encounters: Chaotic Improv Actual Play

    Welcome to Very Random Encounters, a show where we play pen and paper RPGs in which we’ve randomly determined as many things as is possible, including characters, villains, names, places, and other weirder stuff! It all comes together to be a very random encounter. We’re an actual play roleplaying game podcast by four friends who love the challenge of telling a story whose details are all prompted by random rolls. You can start with the first episode in any given season.

    Uncharted Worlds Sequel Special (Patreon Bonus Content Preview) Jan 16, 2023

    We are in the middle of our break, but we didn’t want to leave you with nothing in the feed, so this week, we’ve got something special for you!

    If you support us on Patreon at any level, you get a sequel special every year, which is an extra-long episode we record to continue the story of one of our seasons. The season that gets the sequel is voted on by our Patrons, so if you do support us, you can vote on your favorite each year. Last year, Root won the vote, and we just released that sequel special on the Patreon in December.

    In previous years, we’ve done a sequel special to Call of Cthulhu, Tales from the Loop (that episode occurs before the Things from the Flood season), and the other one that we’ve release was Uncharted Worlds.

    That sequel special is what we’re sharing with you today. So if you haven’t listened to the Uncharted Worlds season, you may want to listen to that before you listen to this as there are naturally a lot of spoilers.

    In this sequel special, we play friend of the show Riley Hopkins’ game If Not Us, Then Who? Which is a cool Power Ranger game and it’s really good and you should check it out.
