Very Amusing podcast merchandise is arriving!!!! SO, this week, I wanted to tell you a bit about what we’re making, why we’re making it this way, and how we got here. We're even joined by special guest Andrew Ortiz of SuperYaki, without whom none of this would be possible! Hope you enjoy this peek into what it's like to make a tiny fashion line, why I pivoted from prior plans, and the details of what really makes these garments special (:

We are BEYOND thrilled to welcome writer, YouTuber and Disney fanatic Kristin Chirico to Very Amusing! Best known for their work on Buzzfeed and with the fabulous Kitchen & Jorn Show, Kristin is one of us — a true theme park fan — and has the hot takes and delightful stories to prove it.
NOTE: parents, if you would like to avoid any discussion of *costumed characters and the employees makes them possible*, we recommend you skip 32:30 - 35:10!

We've put together an AUDIO JOURNEY for you that'll transport you directly inside Disney's new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser without stepping foot on board. Okay, it's not technically a ~free ride~, but it is the only way to kick back and take in the details of this wild 2-night experience in an audio format, and we hope you love it. (Jeff Fox even called it AMBITIOUS!)
THIS EPISODE CONTAINS SPOILERS AS TO WHAT HAPPENS ON STARCRUISER, but honestly? we all know how light side vs. dark side battles tend to end up, so why not just give it a listen!
Come along with us on a journey into the deepest realms of space....in a themed hotel experience in Florida....or somewhere in between.

What does an ogre in swim trunks, a shopping mall and a conversation with Jeffrey Katzenberg about bathrooms have in common? This episode!!!
Y E S, we're diving deep into the creation of DreamWorks Water Park at American Dream in New Jersey. If you've ever slid down these slides or merely seen the 41 foot-tall Shrek balloon from the highway, you know that something special lies within that chlorine swamp, and we're talking to Don Carson, Senior Art Director at The Hettema Group, all about how it got made. Let's go sliding!

We're getting academic this week, baby!! Please welcome Dr. Sam Summers, PhD, animation expert, lecturer at Middlesex University, and self-proclaimed Shrekspert (!!!) Sam's here to tell us all about the deeper meanings behind the films, the academic community's view on it and, of course, a professional's opinion on if Shrek would play dreidel. (The answer may surprise you!!)

It's the most ogre-ful time of the year here at Very Amusing!
That's right: Shrekcember has OFFICIALLY arrived, and our month-long celebration of the arguably canonically Jewish SHREK is kicking off its 31-day festivities with a dive into the world of SHREKBOX. What began as a Philly newspaper box full of Shrek memorabilia and artwork has become a national phenomenon — and a religious destination?! Hear all about the creative portal to Shrek-y wonder on this week's Shrektastic episode. From their swamp to yours, happy Shrekcember!
NOTE:
I say the word "mailbox" instead of "newspaper box" prior to the interview, my apologies! (I blame recent travels for my brain fart!)
