Unsupervised with Syd & TP

You never know where this podcast is going—and neither do they. Known as Syd and TP, Syd Colson and Theresa Plaisance are best friends, former teammates, and now hosts who cannot, will not, stay on topic. After launching a hit TV show (which also didn’t stay on topic), they return their hilarious antics to mainstream audiences, as their podcast “Unsupervised” brings in the same energy that fans have grown to love.

One minute they’re dissecting reality TV drama, the next they’re debating if pigeons are government spies. Somewhere in between, they’ll pull audiences into completely unhinged games that are way more fun than they should be (no, seriously), and they’ll dish out impressively solid life advice to callers, who probably have no idea who they are and may wonder, are they okay? It’s an in-real-life text thread turned podcast — like a 2 a.m. group chat you accidentally walked into. You’ll be glad you stayed.

Hate Comments Helped Break Our Viewership Records Oct 15, 2026

Show notes

Thank you to everyone who listened to last week’s episode. Shoutout to our day ones and newcomer babysitters, but a special shoutout to the trolls for the record-breaking engagement across all platforms. The hate in your heart fills our stats and pockets and for that we thank you!

To give our new listeners a taste of what we are all about, we have a very on-brand, off-topic episode for you. Our favorite white people songs, nightmares about Jordin Canada, manifesting a 7 game series for the Valkyries vs Dream final, our every thought and strategy on Traitors to this point, and one babysitter writes in on how Syd and TP are entertaining (terrorizing) an IT department in New Zealand.

If you liked what you heard last week, don’t forget to clock in this week. All babysitters welcome!

Based in Reality Oct 08, 2026

Show notes

One thing you can count on: Syd and TP are always going to stand on business. We know you've all wanted to hear from us and we’re ready to talk about it all. Not just one interaction with a belligerent b*tch boy, but the last decade of standing up for what's right.

We also get into our time at ComplexCon (TP was in thrift heaven) and where we got our sick basketball jackets. Plus, giving Arike and the ice in her veins flowers and breaking some WNBA insider news about Alysha Clark. We're loving the meme factory that's Angel Reese and not at all surprised by Coach Nat's collapse, she'd be calling plays from the back of an ambulance if she had to.

Finally, we love when you ask us for dating advice. We love it more when you’re nuts and not self aware. Keep the mess coming babysitters…

We Got the Chance to Scissor on the Jumbotron Oct 01, 2026

Show notes

Audio listeners, we see you, we hear you… and yes, we did forget about you. We’ll do better.

Y’all keep tagging us in everything, so let’s break it all down. Rickea Jackson is back on her quarterly queerbaiting grind with her latest rainbow road incident, A’ja Wilson had a literal run-in with a worker who she then blamed for the loss of her pregame gum, and we’re saying goodbye to the Connecticut Sun while TP shares memories from the Tulsa Shock days, the Mohegan Tribe, and our unforgettable championship in Uncasville.

We also have a moment for Nneka and the legacy she is leaving behind, hear Sheryl Swoopes’ thoughts on our wigs, and debate the Mercury dancers’ proposal… with TP firmly ANTI public proposal.

Plus, we recap our Game 1 Live IG Story coverage for Amazon Prime and relive our viral scissor sisters handshake on the Jumbotron. There’s more playoff talk coming, including something y’all have been asking to hear all about, so stay tuned.

Lastly, a moment for Aminata Seck, who was detained by ICE at Louisville airport. We see her, and we want to do everything we can to help bring her home and spread awareness. We hope everyone in these facilities knows they are not forgotten, especially during these incredibly scary times. We’ll keep you posted on what you can do and resources you can tap in to.

If Only All White Women Behaved Like TP And Ms. Rachel Sep 24, 2026

Show notes

TP has another outfit you do not want to miss. Who knew TP looked so good in pink and in overalls?

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran is the new face of All Lives Matter with his apology and backtrack in the same breath. And here goes Pink again, giving the color a bad name.

If Syd can make it this far raw dogging her ADHD, you can make it to our W segment of this episode. We give our two cents as we look ahead at the playoffs. We got our eyes on The Young Hos and how people always seem to forget the kind of motivation a season of disrespect can do for a team.

Women are getting statues… finally! Congrats to Lisa Leslie (she’s cute) and Sylvia Fowles. Spoiler - we didn’t come dressed as their statues, but we love messing with the legends, so you never know what’s coming.

We’re doing some boots (pants) on the ground journalism and finding out what Gen Alpha has to say about if farts are funny. Stinky Stinky! Either way, let’s keep farts and more importantly FECES out of sporting events. Yes, we’re talking about the HYROX sh*tter.

Finally, as promised, we’re celebrating three teachers to kick off the school year with a giveaway. Thank you to all our teacher Babysitters, you’re changing lives.

Syd Walked In Her First NYFW and Ignored All Her Coaching Sep 17, 2026

Show notes

Sorry audio, but it’s time to tune in to video or you’ll miss a BIG reveal.

As our time in NYC comes to a close, we went out big with everything from tennis drills with Sloane Stephens to having to run across the city in clogs and brand new Doc Martens to get to a dinner with our boss’ boss’ boss (we are embarrassed and taking accountability, okay…).

Syd walked in her first fashion show at NYFW and to no one’s surprise, did not implement the coaching she was given but looked good doing it (really good). She loved it so much she wore the look again for the recording.

TP got to be among her people at the Tall Tours but she is still out on wearing heels. At least no one asked how the weather is up there - the same btw.

Finally, a babysitter writes in for advice on how to keep a friendship as great as Syd and TP’s. There really is no big secret, just always go out of your way to show people you care.

Our US Open Suite Attendees Had TP Switching Teams Sep 10, 2026

Show notes

We recorded this on Labor Day so please be grateful for our federally mandated day-off labor.

There’s a rumor going around that exit rows get free drinks - how can that be true? Aren’t they the ones responsible if we start going down, but you’re telling me that they’re getting tipsy at 30,000 feet… Speaking of tipsy, thank you to everyone that came out to Blazers for our comedy show. Think we have a few more shows in us before we leave NYC so stay tuned.

US Open was quite a time, we could hardly keep the paparazzi off of us. (Check the evidence. Because there is evidence.) Did y’all know Common had that much motion? He has TP in a tizzy which is… interesting to see. Don’t worry, we give our full review of the Honey Deuce and caviar nuggets.

We’ve seen the videos resurfacing of us in high school and they’re frying us too. We can’t believe our voices were that high but good to know Syd’s humor has always been that natural (nuts) and TP was still killin em with kindness. And we took a page out of Mateo Lane and Nick Smith’s book and are declaring the sexualities of the sports. Jury is still out on skateboarding…

Finally, a babysitter wants to know if she’s allowed to reach out to her ex’s sister. We told y’all to bring us your mess, and we are so glad you are.

TP Sent Syd To Disney Adult Conversion Therapy Sep 03, 2026

Show notes

TP has been begging for years and Syd finally made it to Disneyland, let’s talk about it. We break down all of her favorite rides, how many Groot pins she bought (all of them), and how Rise of the Resistance is worth every dollar. We play a this or that with park rides and characters and somehow make it through with minimal singing (somehow all the screaming made her voice deeper).

We honor legend and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, with a trip down memory lane in TP’s childhood growing up going to Dollywood. Dolly could have been a billionaire but instead put so much of her money helping marginalized groups and children. We will miss you Dolly, here’s to hoping more of the mega-rich follow in your footsteps (we aren’t holding our breath).

In Halftime Headlines we just cannot find it in ourselves to have sympathy for these women who believed and worse sent ONE POINT THREE MILLION AMERICAN DOLLARS to the 49er’s scammer, Daejon Love. You don’t have Google? Common sense really ain’t common… Which can also be said of whatever idiot put out that Callaway and Good Good Golf ad. Shoutout to Dicks for doing the right thing (a sentence we’ve never said).

Here’s A W Heavy Episode For The Upcoming FIBA Break Aug 27, 2026

Show notes

If we’re gonna do one thing on this pod its enable each other, and that includes TP letting Syd pursue her singing career despite some opinionated babysitter (someone tell Olivia Dean we found her biggest fan and biggest competition.)

This is a W heavy episode to satiate you all leading up to the FIBA season break. We have said it before but we’ll say it again: we are huge Azzi Fudd fans. Dallas fans, keep your cool! We are dealing with modern medicine so she will be back.

Lots of playoff fun to look forward to - particularly the Ystics (not our typo!) We look back at the wild years of single elimination games in the first round and give our two cents on playoff matchups if the playoffs were to start today.

Then we get into the important bracketology- who’s the best WNBA mascot? The Portland Fire revealed their new mascot, Rose (yes, Syd caught the… toy reference). But can anyone really ever beat Ellie…?

We unfortunately have to mention the loser in both of our comment sections, St*phen J*ckson. If you’re so worried about protecting women, why don’t you start with calling out abusive men in your league, sweetie pie?

A loyal babysitter writes in about a health issue, and TP opens up more about her journey over the past few years. We love TP for her jokes but also her big and open heart - she shares the struggles and relief she’s felt plus offers advice for anyone struggling to get answers.

Elle Duncan Should Have Been The Face Of One Tree Hill Aug 20, 2026

Show notes

She’s so AT-Elle (so ATL we couldn’t get her to come hang out in person) - this week’s guest is legendary sports anchor, new author, and certified ageless baddie, Elle Duncan. We warm her up by playing a new iteration of this or that in our game: What The Elle. Plus, we find out if Elle would have wanted to be at a slumber party with Syd and TP’s countdowns to midnight. Then, we dive into Elle balancing motherhood with her career and how that turned into her fulfilling her dream of becoming an author. She breaks down how she went from failed actress (we won’t be able to watch One Tree Hill the same again), to being DMX’s handler at an ATL radio station, to becoming the power house she is and continues to be.

You can always count on Elle to get real and leave you with inspiration - she breaks down her life long battle with an eating disorder and how she handles being in the public eye. Then, how she juggles being a genuine fan of sports while also remaining an unbiased voice of the game. Finally, she tells us her favorite places to travel and why she could be on the tourism board for all of them.

In W Wide Web - Diana Taurasi is in the rafters now and the WNBA Hall of Fame inducted Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne, and Chamique Holdsclaw. You don’t even have to be a W fan to recognize what the ‘96 USA Women’s Basketball Olympic team has done for sport.

And we love the lengths y’all go to to get us a DM and wish your people happy birthday…

This Is The Last Time We Talk About This MNBA Thirst Nonsense Aug 13, 2026

Show notes

We didn’t want to but we must address this obsession with trans women. These men who contributed nothing on the court in their time in the MNBA are so thirsty for attention they’re using the W and trans women to get an ounce of attention. Y’all are too scared to get on a plane let alone survive 30 seconds in a WNBA game. We can already hear the trolls in the comments reiterating our stats and we should remind you WE DO NOT CARE. If you need proof, give our series, The Syd and TP Show, a rewatch on YouTube.

On a less overbeaten topic, we cover how we’ve been adjusting to New York City - including learning a game called camogie from two Irish women at a bar. We’ve got two Leos in the house celebrating birthdays: Syd and Yams. Syd tells us about her birthday gift from Madi and how it reminded her that comedy is just love.

Unsupervised is once again going wild and staying the hell away from Hippos - have you heard how fast and big they are? TLC is covering the wrong 600-pound life. Plus, Syd mourns the loss of her childhood neighborhood cat.

Finally - we’ve got big spoilers and opinions on the new doc, A Toxic Love Story. First of all: how did all these nutty people find each other? This story was absolutely crazy but a great reminder that if the person you love is coercing you into things you don’t want to do or feel safe doing - that’s not love.
