Hey there, lovely listeners! I'm here with the episode of Doctor Who in which we find out that the aliens in a previous episode did not all die, and one of them has set up residence in Cardiff and is the mayor there. She's planning to create an explosion big enough to kill millions of people so that she can ride the wave back to...wherever she's hiding out with her criminal family, I guess? Most of them are dead, but she claims to have more when she's talking to the Doctor. It's just hard to know what's actually real.
This episode has a lot of really fun moments, like when the gang is all chill and going out to eat and telling stories about the places they've been and the things they've seen and done. Even Mickey seems to be having a good time at this point. But things turn sour quickly when Mickey confesses that he's seeing someone else, and that he's still really hurt by the way Rose took off. He's even more hurt by the fact that when she contacted him asking to meet, he dropped everything and ran to her...but as he's pouring out his heart to her, he looks up and she's gone.
In the end, the TARDIS has a soul that our dear evil villain looks into, and an expression of joy passes over her face as she whispers, "Thank you!" and collapses, turned back into an egg. What a weird ending, amirite? What's up with the damn TARDIS?
Thanks so much to all of you for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!
