Safety and balance are two concepts that may seem unrelated, but are in fact inextricably linked. Safety can eventually lead to good health, which can then guide you to balance. Balance, in turn, can lead to a healthy lifestyle and therefore a feeling of safety. Therefore, no matter what problem you may be facing, you should always maintain a baseline level of safety and always strive for a feeling of balance. If both are found, you're likely already well on your way.

Whether it's avoiding the consumption of small invertebrates, keeping you and your friends safe from kidnappers, or dealing with abusive family members, you have to try your best to find safety for both you and those around you. And one last point: why is it that most attempted kidnappings always happen at night during a Fall Harvest Festival? Seriously.

    A Body-Positive Story From One of Your 10% Jul 27, 2020
    Show notes

As you look around this great wide world, you see a broad spectrum of humanity. People of all shapes, sizes, weights, and colors. It is precisely this bountiful variety that makes us so very interesting, so very distinctive, and so very beautiful, to behold. So if you ever find yourself looking in the mirror and focusing on all the tiny little things that make you unique, don't you dare look at them as flaws. They are an amalgam of wonderful little mysteries and histories that hold the key to exactly who you are. And let's be honest: would you rather be someone else? Someone who hasn't gone through what you've gone through? Someone who hasn't lived your life? Someone who is, quite simply, not you? We think not. You be you.

SOS: Trouble in Paradise Jul 13, 2020
    Show notes

Today's episode is all about the shockingly important act of self-reflection. Whether it's looking in the mirror and realizing that you're holding onto things for the wrong reasons, or finally realizing that you're pointing the blame for a dysfunctional relationship in the wrong direction, self-reflection is a brave and sometimes brutal exercise. That being said, it can sometimes help lead to a healthier, more positive, more fulfilling life.
