Episode #011: Do Not Be Afraid... Open Your Eyes Nov 20, 2020

Show notes

Did you know that God SURROUNDS your problems? In 2Kings 6, Elisha’s servant became afraid because the King of Aram sent an army to destroy them.

Elisha prayed to the Lord to “open his eyes so that he may see.” (2Kings 6:17) NIV. When his eyes were opened, he saw the hills filled with horses and chariots of fire around them.

The servant had no idea that all along, God’s army was there… surrounding the army sent to attack them.

Let’s pray for God to open our eyes so that we can stand with confidence and know that God will deliver us from all our enemies!

Episode #010: God Can do More with Less Nov 11, 2020

Show notes

Are you aware that God can do more with less? If you have ever felt that you don’t have enough to succeed in life, pursue your dreams, achieve a goal, overcome opposition, rise from a bad situation, start a business, etc., I strongly encourage you to read about the story of Gideon, in book of Judges, chapter 6 and 7.

In a nutshell, the Israelites were taken over by the Midianites and were treated harshly and became very discouraged that the Lord was even still with them. An angel appeared to Gideon and called him a MIGHTY WARRIOR and told him he would defeat the Midianites and free the Israelites.

Herein lies the problems:

Gideon doubted the Lord was with them because of their current situations. After the angel of the Lord appeared to him and called him a mighty warrior, Gideon said, “If the Lord is with us, WHY HAS ALL THIS HAPPENED TO US?” (Judges 6:13 NIV)
Gideon was too focused on what he could do in his OWN STRENGTH. Gideon had a very small army (about 32,000 men) in comparison to the army they were going to fight, which were too numerous to count. (Judges 7:12 NIV)
Gideon had poor self-esteem. He was afraid and saw himself as a member of the weakest clan AND the least in his family (Judges 6:15 NIV)…. YET, the angel of the Lord called him a mighty warrior! (Judges 6:12 NIV). God sees us as who we will become!!!

To make matters seemingly worse, the Lord reduced his army to only 300 men! All the remaining soldiers either left or were sent back home.

Why would God do this? Why would God choose to have Gideon go to war with LESS?

The Lord’s response was “In order that Israel may NOT BOAST against me that her OWN STRENGTH has saved her…” (Judges 7:2 NIV)

Against all odds, God gave Gideon an amazing STRAGEGY to defeat the Midianites with just a small group of men. Gideon was successful with LESS because God made it MORE!

I pray this bible story helps you to have faith in God to overcome all circumstances and to realize that no matter what your situation may look like, God’s promises for your life will always prevail. Dive more into the story of Gideon to increase your faith in God and confidently march in the battles as the mighty warrior that you are in Christ!

Episode #009: Don't Fear Bags of Water Nov 02, 2020

Show notes

Why be afraid of naysayers and critics when they are just water?
Truth is, the bible teaches us in James 4:14 (NIV) “You are a mist that appears for a little while, and then vanishes.” Even scientists agree. Did you know that the average human body is about 60% water? More surprisingly, our lungs, muscles, brain and kidneys are between 73-83% water.
Why does this matter? It matters because when we choose to walk in fear of what others may say or think, we literally choose to fear bags or bodies of water. As ridiculous as that sounds, that is what we are doing when we walk in fear.
So, let us move forth and enjoy life and take chances by pursuing our dreams without allowing our naysayers and critics to hold us back.
Ecclesiastes 5:18 teaches us that we are to eat and drink and find satisfaction in our labor during the few days of life God has given us.
Let us also remember that we don’t have to fear what bags of water may attempt to do in our lives to harm us because Isaiah 54:17 teaches us that no weapon formed against us will ever prosper!

Episode #005: God Uses Messed Up People Oct 07, 2020

Show notes

Did you know that God specializes in using MESSED UP People?
This motivational video podcast has one purpose, to help you realize that no matter who you are, or what you have done, God can still use you!
Many people are unaware that God used people in the bible such as the apostle Paul, Father Abraham, King David, Moses, Peter, Rahab, and many others who messed up, yet still achieved His good purpose.
If you ever thought...
Will I ever be good enough?
I am messed up!
Why am I not good enough!
Can God really use me?
The answer is right before our eyes! God chose to use people with flaws and issues.
If you are struggling with self-esteem, depression, and feel like giving up, I pray that you watch this inspiring video and realize that you are good enough and there is no reason to fear not being good enough to achieve great successes in life.
Take comfort in knowing that the Lord Jesus Christ constantly reminds us in the bible that He loves us... flaws and all, and no matter who you are, God loves you... and God can still use you (and me) for personal growth and spiritual development, because He specializes in using messed up people.
