Yer Hotties are back again for another episode of laughs and learning in this dance-a-rie! The school year is officially upon us, bringing with it plenty of higher ed nonsense for CT & KW to discuss and drag [2:30]. Then, Know Thy Enemy takes on the first cusp of 45's administration – the Hotties will help you figure out just how to read those confusing folks [19:15]. This week in Hey Facts Tho, KW adheres to a particular… theme and CT is here to confuse y'all about the globe [28:41]. In a spoilery special, they discuss Kingsman II: The Golden Circle, the sequel to their beloved Kingsman: The Secret Service [39:39]. Many sighs about suits and cute butts ahead. And of course, they close the show with some fall-appropriate culture for you to get involved with [54:25]. Join them, won't you? This episode contains swearing and the N word. Ready your butts' friends, cause the Hotties have a blisteringly delightful episode for this September (???????) day. First up, new fan favorite "Know Thy Enemy," takes on the mysterious Capricorn [1:40]. Pick up some helpful tips on how to manage those ambitious goats and stay for the bonus higher ed news. Fan classic "Hey, Facts Tho!" dives into the wide world of Viking warriors, workplace protections for LGBTQ folks, and some conversations starters should you find yourself at the pearly gates [13:06]. As you know, your Hotties are mad literate, so they have a chat about memoir as a genre, specifically Sam Irby's "We Are Never Meeting in Real Life" and Cat Marnell's "How to Murder Your Life" [40.44]. Finally, they answer a listener letter about race and representation in media [56:00], and OF COURSE they are not without that good culture for you to Get Involved with [1:04:35]. Hold onto your butts fam, because the Hotties are delivering a hot new segment for you this week. In "Know Thy Enemy," CT & KW will give you a fresh roadmap into what exactly is going on the minds of y'alls Lil President and his administration, via astrology [2:16]. This week, they drag their own signs (CT is Taurus, KW is a Scorpio, you are not surprised) as well as the signs of some meaningful people in their lives.. and some trash people in the White House. Hey Facts Tho includes animal knowledge, ~*weather insights*~ and the lowdown on how old school Christians defined meat [25:46]. It is a wild ride. Then, a discussion about Netflix's The Incredible Jessica James, and how refreshing it is to see a black woman get to be a messed up twenty-something too [41:00]. And as per, they have culture aplenty for your enjoyment [52:14]. Join them, won't you?

Black People Have Money Too Aug 16, 2017

CT and KW are back from vacation with new tats, bronzed skin, and the same disdain for mediocre white dudes that you've come to know and love. Case in point: the Hotties start this week's show with a conversation about affirmative action [1:32]. They revisit Becky with the bad grades, discuss the destructiveness of the model minority myth, and speculate about why 45 is pretending to care. Next up? A fresh round of facts, which include (but are not limited to): swim bladders, various Grovers (Cleveland and Sesame), and what's happening in all our guts *right now* [14:12].

Then the Hotties dive into this summer's blockbuster comedy smash (#yaaaaaas) Girls Trip and its many gifts – the revelation of Tiffany Haddish and the complexity of black women, black friendship, grapefruiting, iconic booty holes, and so much more [28:23]. Plus, they've got hella culture for your involvement [44:42]. Join them, won't you?

We Got A Bone To Pick (Redux) Aug 02, 2017
    Show notes

Summertime and life in general have your Hotties QUITE busy this week fam, so they're rebroadcasting one of their VERY favorite episodes, the post election classic "I've Got A Bone To Pick."

    Original episode description:

The Hotties get right down to business and start the show by sharing their post-election reactions [1:43-15:08]. There are a lot of stunned silences. It's the darkest timeline, fam. Hold onto your butts. Then, they answer a listener letter about politics in the classroom: if your institution asks you to refrain from classroom politicking, what do you do? And like, what does that even MEAN tbh?? CT and KW have advice [15:20-35:28]. Next, another listener request: the Hotties are talking about Beyoncé at the Country Music Awards [35:40-47:25]. Remember that, y'all??? We were all more innocent then. CT and KW wonder at Bey's body, address the incredibly gay haircut in the room, and explore how the meaning of that performance changed from Nov. 8 to Nov. 9.

Finally, a bit of sunshine! Gilmore Girls is coming back on the 25th and it is just what the doctor ordered [47:36-1:00:03]. The Hotties chat about the trailer (WHY IS KIRK AT DINNER) and reflect on the things they love best about the show. And as usual, CT and KW close the episode with some great, not-at-all election-y things for your involvement.

Join them, won't you? We curse. We use the N-word. If you don't like it, we don't know how to help you.

Unfriendly Black Hotties LIVE Jul 19, 2017
    Show notes

Strap in friends and family because you are about to experience the recording of CT & KW's VERY FIRST LIVE SHOW! Leading the hour is a chat about summer reading – KW has done more reading for Long John Silvers than perhaps any other person on earth, and CT shares some… interesting highlights of what the kids are reading now [1:35]. They talk about what new books they wish they could have read when they were in 8th and 12th grade, and why they would have been helpful to have. Of course, there was no way they were going to miss a chance to bring you **FACTS LIVE** [10:14].

Do enjoy learning about cells, lakes and much more, this time with audience laughter! With their extra time (learning curve, amirite?) they take some audience questions and discuss how Spotify has, once again, called them a bitch [26:16]. As per usual, they have a Get Involved filled with delights for nearly all your senses [34:58]. Join them, won't you?

First, a Nonsense in Higher Ed roundup with all the academic gossip you've been craving, featuring twitter fights, honorary degree takebacks, and pettiness galore [1:14]. Then, a fresh round of facts: KW knows science, CT knows historical hygiene, and we *all* know how wild nature is [13:00]. Next up, the Hotties discuss Roxane Gay's stunning new memoir Hunger, and what it and Hulu's Handmaid's Tale have to say about female bodies and power [29:50]. And of course, they have culture aplenty for your enjoyment [51:38]. Join them, won't you?
