Is Lincoln Riley In Trouble? Sep 25, 2026
    Show notes

The Protect College Sports Act is gaining more traction. But who exactly is this protecting?

Why do we keep losing marquee non-conference games? The latest to pull out of some big game is Georgia. George is upset, because it wasn’t that long ago Kirby Smart was talking like these games wouldn’t go away.

The defending national champs might be on the verge of improving their roster. Kellan Wyatt and Stephen Daley were granted an injunction and could see the field. But what makes this different than what happened at LSU?

Mobile quarterbacks look good, but why doesn’t that always mean success at the end of the day.

Before you make your bets this weekend, George has all you need to know about some big games.

One of the biggest games this weekend is in the Big Ten with Oregon heading to L.A to take on USC and George chats with Ryan Dyrud to preview the game.

USC vs Oregon Is More Important Than You Think Sep 23, 2026
    Show notes

College football coaches have turned into unscripted WWE superstars, and it's the reason the SEC is destroying the Big Ten right now. George Wrighster breaks down the attention economy, the GW Top 25, the Week 4 watch list and three full game breakdowns.

Lane Kiffin, Curt Cignetti and Deion Sanders all understand the attention economy, and why promos live forever when you lose. And why the SEC is crushing the Big Ten in visibility, and IU, USC, Nebraska and Penn State aren’t helping the Big Ten.

NIL squashed teams stock piling talent which means coaching has never been more important, and the SEC is finally hiring innovators and not just recruiters.

The AP Poll is out, and George has some issues with it.

The full Week 4 watch list:

    Oregon at USC

    Northwestern at Indiana

    Texas A&M at LSU

    West Virginia at Oklahoma State

    Ole Miss at Florida

    Iowa at Michigan

    Nebraska at Michigan State

    Oklahoma at Georgia

    UCLA at Maryland

    Texas at Tennessee

    Colorado at Baylor

Plus, full five-keys breakdowns for Oregon at USC, Texas at Tennessee and Iowa at Michigan.

Week 3 Reaction: Ole Miss Gets Revenge, Kentucky Stuns A&M & More Sep 20, 2026

    • LSU at Ole Miss: Lane Kiffin's homecoming, Trinidad Chambliss and the Ole Miss Rebels controlling it from the start, and what this does to LSU football's season
    • Kentucky 31, Texas A&M 21: the Kentucky Wildcats walking into Kyle Field as a road underdog and beating No. 9 Texas A&M football, with Kenny Minchey in his first SEC road start and CJ Baxter behind the Big Blue Wall
    • Florida State at Alabama: Keelon Russell going 23 of 30 for 320 yards and three touchdowns with a 57-yard touchdown run, the Alabama Crimson Tide surviving the upset alert, and what another loss does to Mike Norvell with no athletic director in place
    • Louisville 41, SMU 31: the Louisville Cardinals outlasting the SMU Mustangs in a shootout, Lincoln Kienholz continuing his run, and what it means for the ACC race
    • Clemson 28, North Carolina 20: Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers rallying in Chapel Hill, and what North Carolina football looked like in the middle of the Bill Belichick chaos
    • Oregon 84, Portland State 0: why an 84-point shutout doesn't answer a single question the Oklahoma State loss raised about the Oregon Ducks
    • USC at Rutgers and what it says about the USC Trojans on the road under Lincoln Riley
    • NC State's disastrous result against Vanderbilt and where that program goes from here
    • What Week 3 tells us about the College Football Playoff (CFP) picture, and which teams are real

$50M Rosters, Court Papers and Is Sam Leavitt Going to Play? Sep 18, 2026
    Show notes

Miami Hurricanes are moving back to Nike and Kirk Herbstreit had an interesting response that had people wondering...did he get hacked? Plus, The hidden reason this is huge for Nike, including the 2000 Oregon Ducks team meeting where George asked Phil Knight why Oregon didn't have the most uniform combinations, and Tinker Hatfield agreeing that Miami did. Why Nike's demise has been greatly exaggerated, and the real reason Nike went after Miami.

The Athletic released its roster spending graphic, and the single word doing all the heavy lifting: estimated. And, why George wants a hard salary cap with unlimited NIL, and the difference between NIL value and pay-for-play value explained through Aaron Donald. Plus, spending questions for Nebraska, Rutgers, Iowa, Vanderbilt and Florida State

Sam Leavitt listed as doubtful for LSU, why the line only moved one point, what lying on an SEC injury report actually costs. And, why the real damage lands on a quarterback's NFL draft stock. The latest chaos around LSU football and Ole Miss football, including the governor of Louisiana talking trash and the reported details from the new Lane Kiffin book

A radical idea to fix the bowl system: move bowl sponsors onto College Football Playoff rounds and regular-season games, the way FIFA handles stadium naming.

Arch Manning apologizing for the impact of the Holly Rowe meme, and why the distinction between apologizing for the joke and apologizing for the impact actually matters. Plus, the dumpster fire at UNC is only getting worse

Plus, 5 games of the week: Michigan State at Notre Dame, West Virginia vs. Virginia, Virginia Tech at Maryland, Colorado at Northwestern, and LSU at Ole Miss

Tipping Plays, Judgement Day, Pump the Brakes & Week 3 Must Watch List Sep 16, 2026
    Show notes

Oregon suffered a bad loss on Saturday to Oklahoma State. Was Oregon just bad, or were they tipping their plays? And how far back has this been happening?

There's a new AP Poll out, and George has an issue with how voters are treating Ohio State. Some people are going all in on the Protect College Sports Act. Just how much money will be wasted on this?

Lane Kiffin is now at LSU and faces his former team when they head to Ole Miss on Saturday. Lane Kiffin thinks all the pressure is on Ole Miss, but George says to pump the brakes.

    Week 3 Watch List:

    • Upset Alert: FSU vs. Alabama
    • Narrative Buster: Houston vs. Texas Tech
    • Sneaky Great Game: Kentucky vs. Texas A&M
    • Heisman Watch: Miss. St. vs. South Carolina
    • Sickos Game: Portland St. vs. Oregon
    • You Have Our Attention: Purdue vs. UCLA
    • You Almost Have Our Attention: Florida vs. Auburn
    • Track Meet: USC vs. Rutgers

Fans are amazing, but we need to pump the brakes on overreactions and calling for people's jobs. It's Week 3; the season isn't over just because your team lost already.

FSU is looking to upset Alabama for the second consecutive year, and George has five things to look for in this game. In Oxford, Lane Kiffin makes his return, and how he is treated will be interesting to watch. In the ACC, Louisville has another big game when they play SMU. One thing Louisville will find out is if they have finally found their guy at QB.

Week 2 Recap: Oregon & Oklahoma Embarrassed, Texas and Michigan Shine & More Sep 13, 2026
    Show notes

The contenders and pretenders were separated on Saturday, and George Wrighster breaks down every game that mattered. Ohio State was up 23-3 on Texas but ended up losing. Did OSU blow it, or did Texas win the game? A week after a near-disastrous loss, Michigan showed up and knocked off Oklahoma thanks to Bryce Underwood making plays with his feet. But how sustainable is this for them going forward? Oregon got embarrassed at Oklahoma State. Were they really tipping their run plays? Arizona State had Texas Tech on upset alert, and then the wheels fell off. Kentucky had Alabama fans nervous, but in the end, Alabama was too much. If you're a Kentucky fan, did you leave Saturday encouraged? Arizona was unable to stay with BYU. Unfortunately for Georgia Tech, Alberto Mendoza isn't as good as his brother Fernando. Utah dominated Arkansas, who is simply a bad team right now. Iowa got a big win over rival Iowa State, but what is Iowa's ceiling if they continue to struggle on offense?

Big Ten Coach Rankings, Notre Dame Warning CFB, Oregon To Tokyo & More Jul 14, 2026
    Show notes

George releases the full Big Ten football coach rankings. Next, Notre Dame football is becoming one of the scariest roster-building operations in college football under Marcus Freeman, why Texas Tech football's upcoming Paramount+ docuseries better tell the full Brendan Sorsby story, and why the Oregon Ducks Tokyo push proves Oregon football may be the most professional operation in the sport. George explains how Marcus Freeman is recruiting at a level Brian Kelly never reached at Notre Dame, why Texas Tech cannot pretend the Sorsby drama was just a side plot, and why Oregon’s Dante Moore billboard, Japan showcase, and international branding play show a business-minded approach that other schools will eventually try to copy. Then George responds to fan backlash over his Top 10 college football quarterback rankings.

Mike Locksley (Maryland) to Curt Cignetti (Indiana football), with Ryan Day (Ohio State football), Dan Lanning (Oregon Ducks), Lincoln Riley (USC football), Kirk Ferentz (Iowa Hawkeyes), Kyle Whittingham (Michigan football), and others all landing in a loaded conference hierarchy.

Brendan Sorsby Is Out Of Options, Oregon Ducks Japan Takeover & MORE Jun 25, 2026
    Show notes

Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby is left with nowhere to play with the NFL supplemental draft not happening, George explains why Oregon Ducks taking Dante Moore and the Oregon football brand to Tokyo, Japan is a massive NIL and business lesson for the rest of college football, and says college football analyst David Pollack is right that too many families are letting youth sports steal summers that should still belong to childhood. He also breaks down why the NCAA reportedly canceling waiver requests instead of deciding them could send even more athletes back to court.

Ranking the best college football quarterbacks for the 2026 season based on one question: if you had a national championship roster, who do you trust most to win it all? George puts Dante Moore at No. 1, followed by CJ Carr, Darian Mensah, Julian Sayin, and Trindad Chambliss, while also breaking down where Arch Manning, Gunner Stockton, Nico Iamaleava, Byron Brown, Noah Fifita, and others land. He explains why this is not an NFL Draft ranking, but a trust ranking built around production, decision-making, toughness, recovery, and who has shown the ability to handle real pressure.
