GoldenEye 007 (with Diana Goodman and Mikel Reparaz) Nov 02, 2019

Show notes

To celebrate 2 solid years of podcasting excellence (don't laugh), we are playing one of N64's biggest titles, and one of the most influential and important games ever, GOLDENEYE 007. To help us tackle this seminal title, we're joined by Mikel Reparaz (@Wikiparaz) of the VIDJAGAME APOCALYPSE podcast, and Diana Goodman (@LeCineNerd) of THIRTY TWENTY TEN! We talk about James Bond, "GoldenEye" the movie, iconic multiplayer, small development teams, and dog costumes, and it couldn't have been cooler if it had been put on ice (shaken, not stirred).

Also, some very exciting news: ULTRA 64 is launching a Patreon! We'll be offering patrons two additional bonus episodes per month, plus plenty of other treats and surprises down the line. Our first episode (available for donors RIGHT NOW!) is all about Treasure's fan-favorite N64 import, SIN AND PUNISHMENT!

Sports Correspondent Josiah Coolidge is back to give us some modern context about the series, explore the bizarre, NFL-less first entry, and of course go into the sordid history of the Madden Curse.
