Don't Drink the Water - Geetha Angara Dec 02, 2022

Show notes

Geetha Angara's body was discovered in a water tank at a plant where she worked for over 12 years. The injuries she sustained. pointed to murder but there was very little evidence. The facility was well guarded and fenced in. This meant her killer had to be one of 50 coworkers, if there was a killer at all... This is a fascinating and confounding cold case. The Barefoot Bandit - Colton Harris Moore Nov 23, 2022

Show notes

The boy was tired, dirty and hungry. He climbed up the side of the house using the window ledge to boost himself up to the roof. He’d been to this house before. His muddy bare feet barely left a mark on the metal roof. His tracks snaked along the roof line then disappeared near the window that, he knew, had been left unlocked. He quietly slipped inside. The house was currently unoccupied but he was quiet nonetheless. He crouched listening to the silence just to make sure. When he was reassured that he was alone, he made his way downstairs to the freezer. Inside, was just what he needed, frozen pizza and ice cream. The thought of food made him smile. He started the oven, placing the pizza inside then showered while it cooked. He started a load of laundry too. He ate his pizza while watching TV then made sure to clean up afterwards. Feeling warm, clean and satiated he decided he’d sleep here tonight. It certainly beat sleeping outdoors like he was used to. This hungry boy, named Colton Harris Moore would grow into a 19 year old felon and "folk hero", who had a penchant for stealing boats and planes. His final act was stealing an airplane in Bloomington, Indiana and crashing it in the Bahama islands hours later. Canada's Alaska Highway Killing Spree - The murder of Chynna Deese, Lucas Fowler and Leonard Dyck by Kam McLeod and Breyer Schmegelsky Oct 26, 2022

Show notes

On July 22nd, 2019 a Canadian officer was driving around on his normal patrol route when up ahead of him he saw a truck run a red light at an intersection. The officer quickly flashed his lights and signaled to the trucks driver to pullover. Inside were two young men who appeared to be in their late teens. They looked nervous and scared. He told them he’d watched them run a red light and that they needed to be more careful. The teens just nodded in agreement and apologized, still frightened. Wondering why the boys seemed so unnerved, The officer decided to search the boys vehicle, but didn’t find anything suspicious. The only items in the back were survival gear and maps, pretty common belongings for people driving in that area who liked to hike or camp in the wilderness. Realizing he had nothing to keep them further, The officer told the boys to be more careful driving and sent them on their way. As he watched them drive off he had no idea he was letting two killers go free. A pretty, blonde haired, young woman walked into a Caltex gas station in Mitchell, Australia. She was a 22 year old British backpacker who was visiting the country on a prolonged holiday. Video footage shows her walking in, wearing flip flops on her feet, a purple sundress and matching purple bruises on her face and body. She walks up to the cashier with tears rolling down her face and tells the woman that she doesn’t have any money to pay. She then walks out and drives off. The cashier calls the police and gives them a description of the woman and the car. Minutes later, Elisha Greer's heart dropped as she was being pulled over. No, the police didn’t scare her. What did scare her, more than anything else , was not a what but a who. He was kneeling on the floor of the car, behind her seat, with a knife in his hand.
