Just because I tell myself that I’m going to have a bad time or that no one’s going to like me doesn’t mean that’s what’s going to happen. Breaking to Reinvent Yourself (Hitting Rock Bottom Is a Blessing) Jul 29, 2024

At the end of 2021, while I was working at my old job, I was struggling with my mental health, personal issues, and paying bills. I felt so lost in life and was so unhappy with my situation.

Up until this point, I made excuses for why I couldn’t leave my job and pursue posting on social media full time. Excuses like, “What if I don’t make money? What if I can’t pay my bills? What if I embarrass myself? What if it doesn’t work out?” In December of 2021, it finally hit me that I didn’t have much to lose. Either I stay at my job that makes me unhappy or I leave it and find something that does. I hit rock bottom, and although it was scary, it forced and motivated me to work hard and build an entirely new life. I was able to pursue my dreams fearlessly because I had nothing to lose.

In today’s episode, I share my experience with leaving my job and why I think sometimes hitting rock bottom is a blessing in disguise. If you’ve been in a funk, struggling mentally, or feel like you’ve hit rock bottom, listen to this episode as motivation.

These people would rather stick up for themselves and risk losing those friends than stay in friendships with people who don't respect them. I also talk about my experience in and out of a large friend group and why I think these types of friendships can bring out the worst in people.
