On the night of March 23, 1997 a 911 call came in from a 16 year old boy who stated that he had come home that night to find his father murdered in the living room. He was unsure if the other members of his family were alive because he had left the home in fear. When police responded they found four members of the Hunt and Duke family brutally murdered.

The body of Corey Parker was found the day after Thanksgiving in her Jacksonville, FL apartment. She had been brutalized and stabbed over 100 times. In the Spring of 1999 a beautiful young woman, just shy of her 19th birthday went missing after leaving her house on the eve of the first day of her full time job. Both her family and employer knew that she would never miss that first day of work, so when she never came home and did not show up for work they knew that something was wrong. The investigation into her disappearance would leave a black mark on the reputation of the Akron, Ohio police department and the beginning of legal battles that would take over a decade to bring justice to Hannah Hill.
