The 12 Beers of Christmas: Mission Valley Christmas Killings Dec 20, 2016
    Show notes

Ilona Flint and Salvatore Belvedere were shot while sitting inside a parked car outside the Macy’s in Mission Valley California in the early hours of Dec. 24, 2013. Flint died at the scene while Salvatore sustained critical injuries and died a few days later. On Jan. 17, Gianni Belvedere, Salvatore’s brother, was discovered dead in the trunk of his own car about an hour and a half north of San Diego County. He, too, had been fatally shot, and his decomposing body was found with his pants and underwear around his ankles and his shirt and sweater pulled over his arms. There was speculation that this was a triple homicide related to illegal drug dealings. But sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.
The brew for this episode, number 7 in the 12 Beers of Christmas, is Sweetwater Festive Ale.

The 12 Beers of Christmas: The Christmas Day Murder of Aniarael Macias Dec 17, 2016
    Show notes

Connie Villa forced her three youngest children to ingest an undisclosed amount of drugs at their apartment before she honed in on her eldest daughter, Aniarael Macias, on Christmas day 2013.
When Macias refused to take the drugs, Villa told police she suffocated her daughter to death with her bare hands in their bathroom.
After Villa lured her ex-husband, Adam Villa, to the apartment, she stabbed him repeatedly in the upper torso, according to Officer Thomas Anderson, a Casa Grande Police Department spokesman. Adam Villa, who is the biological father of her three youngest children, escaped and called 911 while driving to Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Responding officers had to force their way into the home, where they found Villa with apparent stab wounds to her upper torso, Anderson said. She was holding a knife to her chest and had the three younger children at her side. This case paints a truly horrible picture of a family Christmas gone terribly wrong.
