This episode was written by Jackie Moranty. The Torreon Cabin Murders are considered the most heinous crime in New Mexico. Please be advised this story contains accounts of child death. In 1995 gang activity was rampant in Albuquerque. When four bodies were discovered in a cabin in a remote area of New Mexico, it shook the community. The police were under pressure to resolve the case, but did they pick the wrong suspect?

Today's episode was written and researched by Jackie Moranty, preliminary research by Victoria Zellar.
The story of Sarah Beard was once the most well-known unsolved crime in New Mexico. Everyone knew her story. It was featured on Unsolved Mysteries in 1994, but since then, the episode was taken down and the story has been lost to time.
Her story is tangled and there’s a lot that goes into it. It’s still an open case and it’s worth remembering the events of December 8, 1988.

Today's episode brings us to the darkest corners of true crime. Today we are discussing the horrible tragedy of the murder and abuse of baby Brianna Lopez. Baby Brianna was only 5 months when she was murdered by the very people who should have been caring for her. This is one of the worst cases of child abuse in New Mexico history and it resulted in changes in legislation known as the Baby Brianna Law.

Baby Bryan Green was rushed to the hospital as he became unresponsive while in the care of his dad. The injuries were suspicious but prosecutors didn't feel there was enough information/evidence to charge his dad with the murder. This is another case where the authorities and the system failed another victim of child abuse in New Mexico.
