Sorry about the hollow, haunted sound here—we were all in separate spaces recording it! A Venezuelan señora will have plants and cats with mysterious gifts, Alice recommends some crime novels everyone knows of already, and yet another great podcast idea is born. After the paywall, we talk "Second Skin," a delicious Kira-centric episode where Nana Visitor is pumped for all her acting juices.

We discuss "Equilibrium" after the paywall (a fascinating episode that begins with a chaotic cook-in and takes us all the way to the Trill home world!) I'm gonna be real honest, I haven't re-listened to this yet because I was watching the entire DNC, including the gavel in. Let's enjoy together!

Tis the eve of the trip to Japan that Alice already took, and the eve of Vero going to Fringe which she was definitely already back from when we recorded this. Excitement! O'Brien goes on vacation with Keiko to his dream escape: a situation where he is alternately beaten and harassed by villains while Keiko actually gives a shit about his whereabouts. What's that? Oh, it actually was not planned by him but instead by the writers of DS9 to impress Skyler who loved this episode for some reason way more than the very deserving "Collaborator"?

I’m uploading this FROM MY PHONE because I’m super busy being a normal space doctor and spending exactly 52 hours on stuff as well as watching my friend (?) sleep. We’re happy for Amara Kitchen to sponsor this show if they want to give us any muffins with high vibrational frequencies.
