Stump the Geek Jul 10, 2018

Show notes

It is a contest as old as Star Trek itself. OK, well maybe it's not THAT old.

Once again, Dan Davidson will attempt to tame the behemoth that is Stump the Geek!

Dan will have to answer five questions of varying point values and he can't use any reference material. No websites. No books. No notes. He has to rely on the information in his walnut sized brain to answer these questions--and they are tougher than EVER!

After that, Dan will face the un-patented Double or Nothing Bonus Round! He'll wager everything in an attempt to be victorious!

Will he succeed? Check out this week's episode of Your Independent Star Trek Podcast to find out!

Odo & Quark Jun 06, 2018

Show notes

Of all the relationships in Star Trek, perhaps none is as layered and complex as the one between Odo and Quark.

On one side, you have the lawful Odo who is responsible for ensuring the safety of one of the Alpha Quadrant's most strategic locations. On the other, you have Ferengi bar owner Quark (he's *not* a barkeep) who seems to turn every situation into gray area with his dealings.

It's an unlikely friendship and we'll dive in on it this week!

Plus news, and an announcement from Dan and Bill on their new venture in this week's episode of Your Independent Star Trek Podcast!

Show notes

There's always something to love in every episode of Trek and this week, we'll take a look at the episodes we like the least in a completely different light!

Introducing, "Say Something Nice!"

The rules are simple: take an episode you don't necessarily like and pick something you really enjoy about it. It could be a scene, or a production element, or a line, or even a performance. Anything that you think is a silver lining in an otherwise unlikable episode.

Joining us to find the best in these episodes is the most positive Star Trek fan we know: the Enterprise Extra! Jim Moorhouse from the Trek Ranks Podcast on The Tricorder Transmissions Network stops by to share his picks and talk about ours.

Which episodes make our list? Find out now!

Plus, we'll announce the four winners of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Eaglemoss Collections. Find out if you won and listen now!

We'll examine the pursuit of Michael Eddington and the obsession of Benjamin Sisko and the lengths both men are willing to go.

It's the middle act of a great Deep Space Nine mini-arc this week on Your Independent Star Trek Podcast!
