S7E3: Legend In Your Own Time | Albert Einstein & Charlie Chaplin Jul 19, 2020
    Show notes

This week, we’re taking a couple of heroes and… well, you’ll see. First up: Stacie has the trashy side of physics genius and icon Albert Einstein, who married twice but never let a thing like matrimony hold him back. Then, Alicia has screen legend Charlie Chaplin. His four marriages typify the line from Dazed and Confused, “I get older, they stay the same age.”

    S7E2: Sparks Fly | The Kardashians Jul 12, 2020
    Show notes

You asked, and we are powerless to resist your wishes: It’s the Kardashians! Alicia lays the groundwork with the story of matriarch Kris’s marriage to Robert Kardashian, their trashy divorce, and her subsequent marriage to, and divorce from, Caitlyn Jenner. Alicia also covers the eldest Kardashian child, Kourtney.

Then, Stacie rounds out the back half with the story of Kim’s sex tape, three marriages, and two divorces, Khloe’s love for very tall men, and Rob’s trashy co-parenting relationship with his ex-fiance, Blac Chyna.

We hope you enjoy our 30,000-foot survey of Kardtrashistan.

S7E1: Hurts So Good | Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid & Paul McCartney and Heather Mills Jul 05, 2020
    Show notes

Welcome back for Season Seven! We’re doing listener requests this season, so if you have a favorite trashy divorce, let us know in our Facebook group or drop us an email.

We’re kicking off with some big names. Stacie has the trashy 2000-2001 divorce of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, which included a cameo from Russell Crowe and arguably blew up Meg’s career. Double standards are real, friends.

Then, Alicia has finally given in and has the very trashy tale of Sir Paul McCartney’s second marriage and first divorce, to Heather Mills. Whew, this one gets trashy.

    S6E12: Maneater | Jennifer Lopez & Eartha Kitt Jun 21, 2020
    Show notes

Welcome to our season six finale! Stacie kept bumping into J.Lo in her stories lately, so she’s got all the deets on Jennifer Lopez’s somewhat impulsive romantic history and current engagement to A-Rod. Alicia wanted to close in style and has the fascinating life and times of acting legend Eartha Kitt, the most exciting woman in the world.

We’re off next week, but will be back with the season seven kickoff on July 5. Take care and we’ll see you then!

S6E11: Let Love Rule | Jane Fonda’s Three Divorces & The Happily Ever After of Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz Jun 14, 2020
    Show notes

We’re going a little off-brand this week with a few not-trashy divorces, plus one that kind of was. First up, Alicia has the three marriages and divorces of Jane Fonda. It was her 1973 split from filmmaker Roger Vadim that had a lot of trash, but after closing things out with third husband Ted Turner, she decided she was ready for a few decades of me-time.

Then, Stacie has the story of America’s coolest blended family: Lisa Bonet, her ex-husband Lenny Kravitz, and her husband Jason Momoa. While the Bonet-Kravitz marriage only lasted a few years, their post-divorce affection for each other continues to inspire.

S6E10: Blame It On Me | Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck & Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Jun 07, 2020
    Show notes

It’s been a big week, so we’ve got some epic trash candy for you. First up, Stacie has the sticky marriage and divorce of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. Then, Alicia flips the script to dive deep into the trashiest marriage around, and the two divorces that paved the way for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott to get together.

S6E9: Monster Mash | Sunny and Claus von Bulow & Alexander Hamilton’s Maybe-Affair with Mariah Reynolds May 31, 2020
    Show notes

This week, our intrepid podcasters decided to take a little break to celebrate Stacie’s birthday. Please enjoy some blasts from the Patreon past with Alicia’s telling of the trashy maybe-murder of socialite Sunny von Bulow. Her husband Claus was convicted of the act, but a protracted legal battle ultimately saw him acquitted.

Then, Stacie shares a revisionist take on the infamous sex scandal – or was it? – that ruined Founding Father Alexander Hamilton’s career in politics.

S6E8: Can’t Help Falling In Love | Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee & Lisa Marie Presley May 24, 2020
    Show notes

Sometimes a Trashy Divorce story is just a gateway to something much more delightfully awful! This week, Stacie has the trashy marriage and divorce (and on and on) of actress and model Pamela Anderson and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. But also: there’s a heist, some yak fur, a sex tape, and biker gangs terrorizing the porn industry! Seriously, this one goes places.

Then, Alicia has the four loves and losses of Lisa Marie Presley. After a quickie divorce from her first marriage so she could wed Michael Jackson, and then a quickie marriage to Nicolas Cage, her first ex-husband is still one of her closest friends, and even played best man in her fourth wedding.

S6E7: Shellshock | Margaret Tudor & Amber Heard and Johnny Depp May 17, 2020
    Show notes

This week, we get up close and personal with Henry VIII’s sister, and deep dive into a very trashy listener request! Alicia has the three marriages of Margaret Tudor: daughter of Henry VII, one-time Queen of Scotland, legitimate Catholic divorcee, and mother of Scotland’s James V. Margaret’s story scandalized Christendom, at least until her brother lost his freaking mind.

Speaking of dudes losing their minds, Stacie has the very not-funny story of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. Their brief marriage ended in 2016 in a flurry of monstrous abuse allegations against Johnny Depp, and their continuing legal feud has only made the story uglier. Honestly, we’re a little worried about everyone in this story.

S6E6: World Leader Pretend | Boris Johnson & Joan Crawford and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. May 10, 2020
    Show notes

This week, we’re putting a philandering British Prime Minister and a scion of Hollywood royalty under the Trashy Divorces microscope. Stacie has all the deets on Boris Johnson, a man who won’t say how many children he’s fathered, but has certainly mastered the art of failing upwards. Then, Alicia takes us back to the Golden Age of Hollywood for the first marriage and divorce of diva and screen legend Joan Crawford, to Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.
