Dr. MaryJane Hanlon, RDH, DMD, MBA has an extensive and varied background in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Hanlon began her career in dentistry at the young age of just 14 years old, supporting her local orthodontist as the “kid” after school who taught children how to brush, polish models and file records. Falling in love with the profession on her first day, Dr. Hanlon’s desire to become a dentist never waned. She finally accomplished her dream in 1997 when I graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA. Since then, Dr. Hanlon has been active in the dental industry, owning and operating her own practice. Her speaking and coaching programs offer dental students the ability to gain strategies, systems and the mindset that is needed for success.

Dr. DiNola is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore - College of Dental Surgery.

As licensed by the Dental Board of Maryland and a member of the American Dental Association, International Association of Mercury Free Dentists, International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology, and the Holistic Dental Association, Dr. DiNola is dedicated to being a lifelong dental learner. For his post graduate training, he attended The Pankey Institute and The Dawson Center, where he studied and completed advanced study for the diagnosis and treatment of masticatory system problems.

His practice, the Dental Wellness Center, diagnoses and regularly treats chronic TMJ or TMD related problems. In recent years, Dr. DiNola has studied and trained in the area of biological dentistry. In addition to being a lifelong student within the dental profession, Dr. DiNola also enjoys other health related areas that he stays informed on by reading current scientific literature that may have implications for dentistry and general wellness, especially with respect to nutrition, environmental hazards, medical developments and lifestyle improvements.

#109 - Dr. Ryan Nolan: “Silver” Jun 20, 2022

Dr. Nolan received his DMD from Midwestern University and is a leader in studying and implementing novel nanotechnology into various dental materials and hygiene systems. The focus of his research is on utilizing nanomaterials to alter oral biofilms. He has published on a wide scope of topics including nanotoxicology, remineralization dynamics, and nanotechnology, with an emphasis on semi-precious and precious metals.

In addition to being the former chief scientist at Novus Research, Dr. Nolan was also a formulation specialist at Maple Mountain and founded Elementa Silver, which harnesses silver nanoparticles to improve oral health. Along with his team, Dr. Nolan established the Theban Publishing House, which was created to encourage and promote authorship, while providing the best author experience process.

In this exceptional episode of the Tooth or Dare podcast, Katrina takes the reins and places Irene under the microscope to take a peek behind the scenes into the life of her friend and podcast co-host. Irene Iancu graduated with a diploma in dental hygiene from Oxford college in 2007. Since then, Irene has expanded her scope of practice with procedures that include Orthodontics, Restorative Dental Hygiene (graduation 2021), Myofunctional Therapy, and advanced periodontal therapy utilizing the latest technology.

As an educator, speaker, consultant, entrepreneur, practice owner, practicing hygienist, and more, Irene certainly has her hands full within the dental industry. In this episode, we explore only a few of Irene’s stories that have helped to place her on this path of success! Frank King, Suicide Prevention Speaker writer for The Tonight Show for 20 years, a fulltime Speaker and Comedian for 35 Years, and a TEDx Coach for 7 years. He’s fought a lifetime battle with Depression and Chronic Suicidality, turning that long dark journey of the soul into 6 TEDx Talks on Mental Health, and lifesaving insights for associations, corporations, and colleges. Depression and suicide run in his family.

Frank has thought about killing himself more times than he can count, and came close enough to dying by suicide that he can tell you what the barrel of his gun tastes like. A Motivational Public Speaker who uses his life lessons to start the conversation giving people permission to give voice to their feelings and experiences surrounding depression and suicide. And doing it by coming out, as it were, and standing in his truth, and doing it with humor.
